Because of a recent recall of a specific rabies vaccine lot, Iā€™m encouraging you to consider a rabies titer test before automatically giving another shot if your dog may have received a dose from that lot.

Hereā€™s the key info:
ā€¢ Vaccine recalled: IMRABĀ® 3 TF rabies vaccine
ā€¢ Company: Boehringer Ingelheim
ā€¢ Affected serial/lot #: 18665 - some vials were found to contain sterile water instead of vaccine.

I recommend partnership with your veterinarian especially when it comes to testing immunity (titer tests) before repeating vaccinations, rather than reacting out of fear.

šŸ” Check your dogā€™s rabies certificate for the lot number, talk it through with your vet, and decide the best path forward together.

Welcome to your new home, Silas šŸ–¤āœØ

This handsome & confident black fluff has already been making himself comfortable-his golden/green eyes taking it all in, exploring every corner, and settling beautifully into his new routine. A only few respectful scuffles with our regular crew, some well-timed breaks, and patience from all have gone a long way. Watching a cat truly arrive in a new space is something special.

Why do we buy our pets Christmas gifts?

Some people say, ā€œThey donā€™t even know itā€™s a special day.ā€ And I disagree.

Our pets may not understand calendars, but they absolutely understand energy, routine, and emotion.

They feel the excitement in the house.
They notice when we slow down.
They sense when weā€™re more present.

So when we give them a gift, it isnā€™t really about the toy or the treat.
Itā€™s about connection.
Itā€™s about gratitude.
Itā€™s about celebrating a relationship that shows up for us every single day.

Yes, I buy my pets Christmas gifts.

Not all dogs should eat ultra low or zero carb. This should be reserved and used only for dogs šŸ• with cancer and other metabolic diseases.

If they are ultra low or zero carb, one should be testing their fasting blood šŸ©ø sugar regularly. Get a blood sugar meter learn how to use it.

Many commercial raw diets on the market now could benefit from a ā€œlittleā€ bit more high quality vegetable/s šŸ„¦.
