the Earth beneath our feet.
Pachamama.
The soil, the waters, the plants, the breath, the cycles…
the ancient intelligence that continues to nourish us all.

So much of what I create through Savage Daughter comes from that remembrance:

✨ Not all “herb-infused” tallow is created the same…

A lot of body butters and balms are made by infusing herbs directly into tallow—and while that sounds beautiful and simple…there’s a little more to the story.

While tallow can be infused on its own, I take it a step further.

Instead of relying only on the tallow itself, I first infuse herbs slowly into liquid oils like jojoba—allowing the plant to more fully release what it has to offer—then blend those rich botanical infusions into the tallow.

Why?

Because tallow is a saturated fat, which means it doesn’t move through plant material the same way liquid oils do.
The extraction tends to be slower and often less complete.

🤍 So I do it differently.

Each herb is given time to fully infuse into skin-loving oils first…
then carefully blended into traditionally rendered tallow.

🌿 Where some of my favorite blends begin… 🌿

Not everything I make starts as a product.

Sometimes it starts with a conversation.

Someone reaching out and saying,
“Hey… do you have anything for this?”

Dry skin that won’t calm down.
An itchy scalp… hair feeling off.
Heavy, tired eyes.
Sensitivities. Reactions.
A need that isn’t being met anywhere else.

And we just… start there.

That’s actually how a few of my blends came to be.

My original Golden Heat Balm was created for deep warmth and circulation…
but after someone reached out with a sensitivity to cayenne, I reworked it.

Same intention.

Just… a little gentler.

And that’s how Golden Warm came to life.

I’ve done this with other blends too—like my Untamed Crown scalp oil… and my Eye Awakening Balm, which was originally inspired by a question about supporting the under-eye area.

Even my Wild Oats Balm started this way—beginning as a simple oat-infused formula for skin that just needed to calm down and be supported.

🌿 Why I Double Infuse 🌿

Not all infused oils are created the same.

Most oils are infused once…
and for many applications, that’s enough.

But for certain blends, I take it a step further.

I gently infuse the oil using low heat… strain it…then infuse it again with fresh plant material.

This second infusion deepens:
✨ the richness of the oil
✨ the natural color and aroma
✨ and the overall character of the final blend

It’s a slower, more intentional process—one that allows me to pull more depth from the plants I’m working with.
