2026 ushers in the 'Year of the Horse' , a symbol of movement, independence, and endurance (National Geographic, 2026).

A community member recently gifted me this horse, along with some cherished ponies from her childhood. I shared having some playful project ideas and then that soon they will gallop into the hands of other kids who will love them.

What toys in your family been passed down through generations-Barbies to friends’ kids, tools, ornaments, or a grandmother’s tea set? Or perhaps recipes, stories, quilts, or photos continue their journey, carrying memories from one hand to the next.

Little treasures like old toys are more than objects- they are bridges between past and future, keeping joy, stories, and love alive.

Recovering from Spring forward? Winter's slow end seemed to show up in Washington state last night with wind, snow & cold.

Processing- a journey of making art freely with no worry or expectation.
Engaging senses, observing, diving in, letting my mind be quiet or watch thoughts pass by- being playful with materials, intuitive, non-verbal, expressive, the act of creation over a final product.
It's useful, it's experiential and it's also enjoyable.
