SIUE New Horizons SIUE New Horizons Group We do this by holding creative, fun, and informational events or meetings throughout the year.

We are a student group on campus at SIUE, with the aim of spreading awareness of disabilities to the people around us. This October will be Disability Awareness Month, and we will be organzing an array of events to help people learn more about disabilities!

~Do you like SPORTS or being active?
~Would you like to LEARNS more about ISSUES concerning people with disabilites? Write your email address on our wall, and we'll send you the dates for our upcoming events. These will include an "OUT OF SIGHT DINNER," in which we will offer a free dinner to those who join! You and your friends will be blindfolded while eating to better understand what it's like for someone who is blind. We will also hold WHEELCHAIR and IMPAIRMENT challenge OBSTACLES, including a BASKETBALL game played from the seat of a wheelchair.

*Disability Awareness Month* will also offer a MOVIE presentation and a great SEMINAR on Test Anxiety Success Strategies (which everyone could use)! SIGN UP now to get the dates for our meetings and events!
