Here’s your weekly San Quentin foster update where stories are shared from our Pen Pals program at San Quentin prison, which matches specially-selected inmates who work in the prison firehouse with shelter dogs in need of a little extra TLC. ❤

This is Sofia! Sofia is the sweetest Olde English Bulldog who recently spent a little time at San Quentin while waiting for a necessary surgery. Here's what her handler had to say about her:

"With a smile that will melt your heart, time with Sofia is a great way to brighten your day. Sofia needs little in life except love! Her infectious grin and attitude make petting her a given. She's fully house-trained and quiet! Sofia will be a perfect fit for any sort of family since she's good with people and other dogs. (She does sometimes enjoy chasing cats.) Give Sofia a chance! She has a face everyone will love... eventually." 😉

This is Kobe. Kobe is a medium size boy, said to be a Bulldog/ Beagle mix, weighing thirty nine pounds. This perfect guy was tragically surrendered to us after living his life with his family for fourteen years. They are moving and decided they cannot take him with them. He is lost and confused here and desperately looking to be in a loving home again.
