Tonight I taught my last class at the Chamizal Recreation Center with , at least for the time being. My heart is filled with so much gratitude and grief as this chapter comes to a close. I want to sincerely thank every single person that has ever attended my class at the rec. Thank you for being my first community after I moved back to El Paso. Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share your time and your hearts with me. I have grown and learned so much about myself and my ability to push through my fears. I want to thank my mom and Aimee for being so supportive of me through this journey. Thank you, Raul, for allowing me this opportunity to serve my community in the most profound way possible.
As I take this time to rest, I wish to remind all my students to continue to carve out that time to do the same.
I am excited for what the future holds and I can’t wait to continue to share many more mindful moments together. 🙏🏽🤍
