Dr. Semel and her staff of ophthalmologists are dedicated to providing friendly, professional care for your eyes, from comprehensive eye exams to delicate surgery. She received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Claremont Men’s College, moving on to receive her graduate degree from the University of Southern California. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at USC/LAC Medica

l Center, after which she did her residency in Ophthalmology at the White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Semel is board certified and fellowship trained in ophthalmology and has a license to practice in the state of California. She’s an active member of many prestigious societies, including:
American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery
American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery
International Society of Refractive Surgeons
American Academy of Ophthalmology
American Society of Retinal Specialists
Today, Dr. Semel is the official ophthalmologist of the Los Angeles Kings, treating some of the best hockey players in the world. The head physician at Semel Vision Care and Aesthetics, she helps people from El Segundo, California, and the greater Los Angeles area maintain their eye health and enhance their appearance. She enjoys research and publishes her findings in several journals in the field of ophthalmology. In her free time, Dr. Semel is a pilot and enjoys traveling and skiing.
