To my fellow small business ownersâŚ
Thereâs something about being a small business owner that people donât really talk about.
Yes, you can make your own hoursâŚbut those hours somehow turn into early mornings, late nights, and answering âjust one more thingâ before bed.
Yes, you can take time offâŚbut your mind doesnât always clock out with you and your time off ends up being more stressful than if you would have just worked.
Yes, youâre in controlâŚbut that also means the weight of every decision sits on your shoulders.
Behind every product, post, and order is a whole lot of unseen work. The planning, the problem solving, the constant questioningâŚwhatâs working, whatâs not, why something took off or didnât. And sometimes, figuring all of that out can feel pretty isolating.
Thereâs pressure, tooâŚthe kind that comes with wanting to keep things going, to keep growing, to keep showing up not just for yourself, but for the people who depend on your business.
But hereâs the part that mattersâŚ
Small businesses donât keep going because itâs easyâŚwe keep going because we refuse to stop.
In a time where small businesses around us are closing every day, staying open takes grit, resilience, a whole lot of persistence, and sometimes I think maybe even a little insanity, lol. Itâs not always pretty, and itâs definitely not always simpleâŚbut itâs always worth fighting for.
So if youâre building something, growing something, or holding it all together behind the scenes, youâre not alone in the effort. I see you.
Weâre all out here figuring it out, or trying to at leastâŚand still showing up anyway. Sending love to you đ¤đ¤đ¤
