About Martha:
Martha has explored qi cultivation for many years through internal martial arts and the practice of several different styles of qigong. In 2003 Martha was introduced to Zhineng Qigong. Learning, practicing and sharing the teachings of Zhineng Qigong became a passion for Martha after her first month-long qigong retreat in China in 2005. She was inspired by observing and experiencing the unlimited possibilities for increased wellness and happiness on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels that Zhineng Qigong so naturally and easily integrates. She has received extensive training from a variety of masters in China and North America. Martha offers classes, individual sessions, workshops and retreats in California, the Big Island of Hawaii and other locations by invitation. Her husband, Leonard, built a beautiful straw bale studio in rural Elfin Forest (Escondido), California, for qigong practice, classes and workshops. The studio, set in a delightful stone fruit orchard, is solar powered and has radiant heated floors. While on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii for several months each year Martha teaches at inspiring locations such as Paleaku Gardens Peace Sanctuary. About Qigong:
Qi (pronounced "chee") can be defined as a combination of life force, energy and consciousness. Gong means practice or cultivation. Qigong is a comprehensive physical and emotional self-cultivation process that has been used to increase wellness for thousands of people all over the world. Through visualization, sound, mental concentration and guided imagery, regeneration of every cell and organ of the body is possible. Qigong offers a methodology to rediscover the inner medicine - qi, the vital and healing resource within us all - and to magnify the exchange between ourselves and nature. This can enable us to discover and fuse with the infinite creative power of the universe that ultimately is the origin of love, compassion and the source of all healing.
