Reform Physical Therapy

Reform Physical Therapy Our therapists are dedicated to their patients’ success.

Reform Physical Therapy is a locally and privately-owned outpatient clinic, built upon one-on-one care that treats the individual as a whole, not just the injury. We utilize manual therapy with an emphasis on improving biomechanics and patient education to maximize each patient's recovery and return them to their prior - if not more improved - lifestyle.

🎃🚒 Totally tubular times at Cape Elizabeth’s Touch-A-Truck & Trunk-or-Treat lastnight!

Our South Portland clinic joined the fun at Cape Elizabeth High School for this year’s event hosted by the Cape Elizabeth Fire and Police Departments — and the theme was 80s style! Big hair, bright colors, and all the retro vibes made it such a blast.

It was such a great opportunity to connect with families, hand out treats, and share a few smiles.

Pictured: Jen, Mackenzie, and student Jess — thank you for bringing the energy (and the 80s flair!) while representing Reform! 💙

We had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Shubert to Reform Physical Therapy today! She shared valuable insight into current surgical strategies and rehab considerations for a variety of shoulder patients, giving our team an even deeper understanding of post-operative care and treatment approaches.

A huge thank you to Dr. Shubert for taking the time to visit and share her expertise — we truly appreciate the collaboration and continued learning opportunities that help us provide the best care for our patients!

It’s National Physical Therapy Month — and today we’re celebrating Payton, PT, DPT from our Yarmouth clinic! 🌟

Payton brings energy, experience, and a movement-based approach to the Reform team. With a background as a dancer, gymnast, and elite-level cheerleader, she knows firsthand how important it is to care for your body — before and after injury.

That foundation inspired her passion for treating athletes of all kinds, from dancers and gymnasts to skiers and weekend warriors. Payton’s sessions are known for their creativity, positivity, and focus on building strength, balance, and confidence.

What makes her stand out? Her ability to connect. Patients appreciate how she makes rehab both effective and empowering — mixing expert care with encouragement that motivates them to keep showing up and giving their best.

Thank you, Payton, for bringing enthusiasm, compassion, and high-energy care to our Yarmouth clinic every single day. You help patients move better — and feel unstoppable.

We had such a wonderful time at Sable Lodge Retirement Community in South Portland during their Sweater Weather Shenanigans yesterday! It was great connecting with so many residents and talking about ways to stay strong and steady through the seasons.

Pictured are our amazing Clinic Supervisor of the South Portland location, Jen Danley, and her student, Jess. Marketing Manager Brittany (not pictured) helped coordinate the event and was so happy to see everyone enjoying the afternoon.

Thank you again to Sable Lodge for having us — we truly appreciate your warmth and hospitality!

National Physical Therapy Month is all about celebrating movement, recovery, and the people who make it possible. Meet Heather, PT, DPT from our Topsham clinic! 💪

If you’ve met Heather, you know she brings a mix of energy, empathy, and expertise to every session. Her background as a competitive gymnast for over a decade inspired her love for movement — and it’s what drives her passion for helping others move better, feel stronger, and return to the things they love most.

Heather believes that recovery is more than just exercises — it’s about connection, trust, and teamwork. She takes the time to understand her patients’ goals, listens to their challenges, and celebrates every win (no matter how small).
In the clinic, her dedication and positivity create an environment that keeps patients motivated and supported throughout their recovery journey. And outside of work, she stays active, enjoys time with family, and keeps her love of movement alive — sometimes literally with a back handspring or two!

Thank you, Heather, for bringing heart, humor, and hope to your patients every day. Your care makes a lasting difference in the Topsham community and beyond.

Raking leaves might not feel like a workout… until your back reminds you the next morning! 🍂

Fall yardwork can be surprisingly demanding on your shoulders, back, and legs — especially when you’re lifting, twisting, or bending repetitively. The good news? You can protect your body (and still get those leaves up!) by taking just a few minutes to warm up.

✅ March in place for 1–2 minutes to increase circulation
✅ Stretch your shoulders and hamstrings
✅ Add a few gentle trunk rotations to loosen your spine

Think of it like prepping for a gym session — because yardwork absolutely counts as exercise. These quick moves can help prevent soreness, stiffness, and strain before they start.

So before you grab that rake, give your body a little love — you’ll thank yourself later!

Great job, Nina and Avery — and thank you to our patient for trusting Reform with your recovery! 💪
