Elizabeth City Health & Rehabilitation would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the United States Coast Guard for allowing us the opportunity to not only sponsor but also participate in this year’s annual Coast Guard Marathon ! 🇺🇸🏃‍♂️

Being part of such a meaningful and energizing community event was truly an honor. From connecting with fellow vendors to supporting the runners and their families, it was a day filled with unity, wellness, and hometown pride.

At ECHR, we believe in showing up for our community, both inside our walls and beyond, and we are grateful to stand alongside organizations like the Coast Guard who make a lasting impact every day.

Today, our hearts are full as we extend a special THANK YOU to the incredible Victory Praise Team for blessing our residents with a meaningful and uplifting presentation on the true meaning of Passover.

Through their time, talent, and spirit, they didn’t just share a story, they brought understanding, joy, and light into our facility. The smiles, laughter, and heartfelt moments shared with our residents were truly priceless. 💛

Moments like these remind us how powerful faith, community, and connection can be. Thank you for pouring into our residents and making their day so special.

As we close out the month of March, we’re filled with gratitude here at Elizabeth City Health & Rehabilitation.💙

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Albemarle Hopeline and Kids First for allowing us the opportunity to not only sponsor, but also actively participate in such meaningful community events throughout the month. Being able to stand alongside organizations that make a true difference in the lives of others is something we never take for granted.

March also gave us the chance to celebrate our incredible social workers. Your compassion, dedication, and unwavering support for our residents and families do not go unnoticed. You are truly the heart of what we do every single day.

What better way to wrap up a month full of impact, connection, and care than by sharing a little joy (and a sweet treat 🍦) with our residents and staff!

At Elizabeth City Health & Rehabilitation, our staff and visitors recently had the opportunity to participate in our annual Love Jar Challenge, and what a sweet success it was!

From friendly guesses to cheerful conversations, everyone enjoyed estimating how many candy hearts were inside the jar. While it may seem like a simple activity, moments like these create connection, laughter, and positive energy throughout our facility.

Our first prize winner received a special voucher for spa services from one of our wonderful local small businesses! Supporting services that promote mental health, relaxation, and self-care is so important, especially for healthcare professionals who give so much of themselves every day. Taking time to recharge allows us to continue providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents.

Activities like the Love Jar Challenge remind us that joy can be found in the smallest things. A simple guess can spark smiles, strengthen relationships, and spread love not only within our walls but throughout our greater Elizabeth City community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this tradition so meaningful. 💗

A heartfelt thank you to The Hot Cocoa Hut for visiting our residents and staff at Elizabeth City Health & Rehabilitation during this chilly winter season. Your warm drinks, smiling faces, and cozy atmosphere truly brightened our day and brought comfort to everyone who stopped by.

Moments like these remind us that it’s the simple things like a cup of cocoa, shared laughter, and community connection that make the cold days feel a little warmer.

Our “SOUPER Bowl” Celebration Was a Touchdown! 🏈🥣

At Elizabeth City Health & Rehabilitation, we warmed up the chilly season with a little friendly competition and a lot of comfort food during our “SouperBowl” Activities!

Our amazing nursing team put their culinary skills to the test in a Soup Challenge, creating meals that were not only comforting and perfect for this cold weather, but also focused on healthy, balanced ingredients. A cozy bowl of soup is the ultimate game-day meal, especially when watching the big game! From hearty vegetable blends to savory classics, each recipe brought flavor, nourishment, and love to the table.

Best part? Our residents were the real MVPs. They enjoyed tasting the different soups, sharing their favorites, and being part of the fun. Events like this bring smiles, spark conversation, and turn simple meals into special memories. Nothing beats good food, teamwork, and community spirit. Now that’s a winning combination! 🤍

This past weekend, Elizabeth City Health & Rehabilitation was wrapped in a beautiful blanket of snow! ❄️

The peaceful snowfall brought smiles all around and even inspired a friendly little snowman to help us celebrate the moment!
