I was able to bless an expecting mama with postpartum and breastfeeding care items earlier this week. 🩷

I am so thankful for the donations from last year that went to these items. They are still being shared with moms that need them!

I hope you guys know how much these mamas appreciate getting care packages of things that make postpartum and breastfeeding less stressful and more comfortable! 🤰🏻🤱🏻

🥲What a lovely surprise to wake up to!

We hit 300 followers! 🎉

To most that may seem like a small number to celebrate, but I'm celebrating every person who has chosen to help change the conversations around birth and postpartum in our community!

I am thankful for every single one of you that have followed along with this journey of mine!
I'm thankful for each follow, like, share. Even more so, I love it when people talk to me and others about Ember of Light when I'm out in public!! I'm still getting used to that. 😅

It is such a blessing when someone tells me they see my posts or ask me questions about what I do. The more we share, the sooner doula support will become normalized and moms won't be ashamed to ask for support through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum!

Let's keep pushing forward, sharing evidence based information, and supporting families in our community to the best of our ability!

February Strong Starts 🩷🩷

❄️ February Strong Starts Invitation

We had to cancel January’s Strong Starts due to icy conditions, and with more winter weather expected this week and next, we’ve decided to combine January’s incentives into February’s class.

If you were scheduled to attend in January, you’ll still receive your January diapers at the February session.

Join us Monday, February 23 from 1–2 PM right here in the office.

Yesterday I had the privilege of having a prenatal doula visit with someone who I go way back with!!

We talked previous birth story, current pregnancy birth goals, breathing practice, comfort measures, fears, and excitement all while playing with her cutie 2 year old!

It’s such an honor to be on Miriam and Adam’s birth team. Please Join us in praying for an amazing redeeming birth experience for them!

It just felt like two old friends hanging out talking birth this afternoon, and I couldn’t be more thankful that this is what God has called me to do!

✨ Welcome to the world, sweet baby Ezequiel! ✨

Last week, I had the absolute honor of supporting Julianna and Nick as they stepped into parenthood for the very first time. Watching them labor together—with such love, strength, and unity—was a precious reminder that birth isn’t just about bringing a baby into the world. It’s also about the birth of a family.

Seeing their bond deepen in those sacred hours is something I’ll never forget. God's presence filled the room that day. His peace, His provision, His strength—it was all there. 🙌

Julianna and Nick, thank you for trusting Ember of Light Doula Services to support you in such a precious moment!
