Construction is constructive!

Uh oh, I had one of those insight thingies this morning. An analogy, as it were.

Construction is hard, noisy, back breaking, dusty, all that. But, if done right the end result is a beautiful thing that wasn’t there before.

Our landlords are graciously providing the construction team to do the heavy lifting, and it’s up to us to do the finishing work on our two new treatment rooms. Which leads me to my analogy.

Self help is like self construction. It can be noisy, difficult, painful, but if done right, the end result is beautiful. It’s good to know when you need to hire help for the heavy lifting, and you can do the finish work.

What constructive things are you doing for yourself this week?

Ariana and I just emptied a storage room that filled a moving truck, and transferred all that stuff to be sorted into our basement. Took all day Tuesday. My body was spent. I went to the Salty Turtle and had their float tanks do the heavy lifting. Next week, I’ll get a massage. Between now and then I’ll be stretching, warming up, meditating, and extra walks with the Morty. Soon, I’ll feel beautiful again!

We’re here for you, if you need a little heavy lifting. But don’t neglect your finish work!
