Menopause isn’t a subspecialty. It’s not “wellness adjacent.” It’s not niche.
It’s basic, necessary, and foundational medicine—for 100% of women who live long enough.

And yet?
Menopause remains one of the most understudied, underfunded, and underrepresented areas in all of healthcare.
• Fewer than 1 in 5 OB/GYN residents receive any formal training in menopause care.
• NIH funding for menopause research is a fraction of what’s allocated to male-dominant conditions.
• And for decades, flawed studies like the early reporting of the WHI derailed progress, leaving millions without guidance or access to evidence-based treatment.

This is not a boutique concern. It’s not optional.
Menopause is a universal transition with real metabolic, cardiovascular, neurological, and musculoskeletal implications.
Hot flashes are just the beginning. We’re talking about bone loss. Body composition changes. Dementia risk. Loss of sexual function. Sleep disorders. Increased cardiovascular disease.

Women are dismissed, gaslit, or told to “wait it out”—despite an overwhelming body of science showing that intervention matters.

It’s time to stop treating menopause like an afterthought and start treating it like the major medical event that it is.

Because this isn’t a women’s issue. It’s a healthcare failure.
And we’re not waiting quietly anymore.

Have you noticed these things with your little one?
04/14/2025

Have you noticed these things with your little one?

Have you noticed your little one consistently turning their head to one side or favoring one breast while nursing?

These preferences can develop for several reasons:

1️⃣ Position in the womb during the last few weeks of pregnancy
2️⃣ Birth experiences like prolonged labor or assisted delivery
3️⃣ Early feeding positions and habits
4️⃣ Tight neck muscles (sometimes called torticollis)

You might notice baby:

👶 is always looking to one side during tummy time or while lying down
👶 has difficulty turning to track objects in one direction
👶 gets fussy or refuses to nurse on one side
👶 starts developing a flat spot on one side of the head

The good news is that with proper care and guidance, these patterns can often be addressed naturally (early intervention is key!).

Remember, every baby develops differently. Sometimes, simple changes in how you position, carry, and interact with your baby can make a big difference, but typically if you’re noticing these patterns, don’t hesitate to reach out to a pediatric chiropractor.

We’re trained to assess these issues and can provide gentle, safe techniques to help your little one develop symmetrically and minimize tension in their tiny nervous system.

Your baby’s comfort (and parents’ stress levels) are our priority! 💕

For my milk making mamas - if your menstrual period has returned , here are some tips 💛

🚨 HELP!! My Milk Supply Dips Every Month—What Can I Do?! 😭

Noticing a temporary drop in milk supply right before or during your period? You’re not alone! Hormonal shifts during your cycle can impact lactation hormones, but don’t worry—it’s usually temporary!

💡 What Can You Do?

✅ Hydrate & Nourish 🥑🥚💧
You don’t need to splurge on pricey drinks like Body Armor or coconut water! Instead, add a pinch of unrefined sea salt to your water to replenish electrolytes. Focus on nutrient-dense foods to fuel your body!

✅ Keep Removing Milk! 🍼🤱
Breastfeed or pump as usual. If baby is cueing to feed more often, follow their lead and nurse on demand!

✅ Calcium & Magnesium Support 🦴⚡
Taking calcium & magnesium separately (instead of in a combo supplement) two weeks before your period can help!
💊 Calcium: Take in the morning
💊 Magnesium: Take in the evening
💡 High doses of calcium can block magnesium absorption, so spacing them out helps maximize their benefits!

✨ Remember: This dip is temporary! Keep up with hydration, nutrition, and milk removal, and your supply should bounce back! 💪💛
