Thank you Jamie Thomes of Natural Point Wellness. I had my first acupunture today. I did it for my September self care and per Healing Touch, I am to explore other modalities so I can refer others, if they need more than Healing Touch. So these are the reasons I visited Jamie today. And not to mention, she is just around the corning from the Azitala Healing center. So Location, Location, Location. Lol!

Jamie is new to Elk River. She is coming from Chaska where she has a practice. Her space here in Elk River is located at 804 Freeport Ave NW Suite A. She has her master’s in acupuncture from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington. She is available for appointments in Elk River on M-W-F and T-TH in Chaska.

I highly recommend her. She is very knowledgeable in chinese medicine. We laughed and shared similarities between Thai and Chinese medicine as she discerned how my body was working by feeling my pulse at my wrist.

She put needles in the crown of my head, down my spine, around my achy left shoulder, down my outside left calf and the kidney points at the ankle.

Per her reading of my pulse, my kidneys were weak and crazy as it was, my ankles were achy today. Two of the needles brought some heat upon entry along my back, but they calmed down after a few minutes and overall, I barely felt the needles in general, except for the one on my gallbladder line on my outside left calf. It had some pressure to it the whole time. If I moved my foot, it made it worse. She offered to lessen it, but I opted to keep it where it was because, I think, she said it would help with my inflammation. (I have a form of arthritis: Ankylosing Spondylitis). I took my medicine….or rather I took my needle. Lol!

I’m to wait two days, see how it goes then come back, if needed or desire.

I’m so excited to be a vendor at this upcoming event - The 2025 Magnus & Friends Festival. This family friendly event is Saturday, September 13th at 16861 N. Diamond Lake Rd, Dayton MN. Gates open at 12:00pm.
