Who likes to help? Still looking for volunteers for the Cecil County Recovery Walk held on Saturday September 30, from 10-2 in downtown Elkton. We need folks who are willing to show people where to park, where the walk route goes, help with set up and take down of tables and chairs, etc. Or if you would like to help with the activities that day. Plus we still have room for folks who would like to sell things, perhaps a bake sale, crafts, whatever you think of. It's all free to set up. You can contact Cameron on this site or at On Our Own. On Our Own of Cecil County will be holding a quit smoking class in the month of October provided by the Elkton Health Department.
The possible dates for the four day class is October 5, 12, 19 and 20 from 1:00-2:00. If interested please give us a call 410-392-4228 to sign up. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9:00-3:00.

Opening reception - Spotlight on Cecil Arts Faculty. A presentation of faculty artwork that is sure to inspire. This free exhibit, which will remain on display through March 29, showcases the talents of Joe Netta, Mark Donohue, Joshua Schaefer, Lauren Vanni, Dan Krukosky, Adam Jacono, Maggie Creshkoff, Jerry Arnold, Jon Cone, Joe Kupresanin and Mary Targonski. More instructors may be added to the lineup as the evening nears.

“An Evening in Spain” will feature a celebration of the beautiful culture of Spain by actors Andrew J. Mitchell and Kelsy Long, percussionist Ben Goldman, violinist Colleen Jones, guitarists J. Andrew Dickenson, James Meyer and Anthony Derrico, pianist Jennifer Campbell, vocalist June Suh, bassoonist Mandy Riffert, and flutist, saxophonist and clarinetist Noelle Presby Lipa.
Admission is free to the reception and $15 for the performance. Tickets for “An Evening in Spain” can be purchased in advance, with a credit card, by calling the box office at 410-287-1037. If the event is not sold out ahead of time, tickets can also be bought at the door by cash or check.
