HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our new favorite friend, Trinity Villanueva, a fierce advocate for social justice, creative healing, divine femininity, equity, and more! She’s also a dope momma and founder of Sanctuaries by Diwa Soul.

For my 40th birthday, I'm raising $1000 for my birthday for my new fiscally sponsored project called SANCTUARIES™.

I bit the bullet and began a new company this year and transitioned out of my life of salaried jobs a few years back. I am excited to be a business owner and follow my dream.

SANCTUARIES™ are Creative Healing Residencies to reclaim and awaken Indigenous and Q***r women carers and healers.

Feel free to visit this link to donate. Your donation will be tax-exempt! 100% of your donation will be going to launching the project.

I'm at $550 of $1000.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far.

I'm turning 40 this month, and I'm celebrating by launching a fundraiser for my new llc's project called Sanctuaries.

HOW TO DONATE:

BEHIND THE DREAM:
When I was a younger, struggling, single mother, I think to myself what I would have needed. There are so many sayings around resilience, but there aren’t enough about utter exhaustion.

Nowadays, we live in a society that is based much more on individualism, that it requires us to do so much more outside of what many Indigenous communities have done and continue to do for so long - maintain a resourceful ecosystem.

When I was younger in church, I grew up with an ecosystem like this - if your bathroom needed to be fixed, someone was a plumber. If you needed decorations for a party, someone knew how to craft them. If my dress was too long, someone knew how to hem. There were barters and exchanges and being resourced was common.

This isn't always the world we know it, especially when we are not always in close proximity to our families.

Especially in the United States, as women, we fight for equality and yet, we do not receive equitable support. As the Founder of SANCTUARIES™️, this is the impetus to my life's skills and gifts so far.

WHY $1000:
Fractured Atlas is our fiscal sponsor, and I need to raise only $1,000 to make it official. This means that I will be able to raise funds and apply for grants under a non-profit status once I prove that I can raise money.

SANCTUARIES' MISSION:
Creative healing residencies for marginalized women healers and carers.

THE PROJECT:
This project is a profound endeavor in individual and collective healing, aiming to foster a cultural shift toward health equity by addressing systemic and energetic imbalances often overlooked by Western medical practices.

It provides indigenized and innovative solutions rooted in historically proven methods, which, while not always validated by mainstream science, have stood the test of time beyond capitalistic frameworks.

The program
- foundationalizes the arts
- centers somatic and feminine healing processes
- emphasizes rewilding in nature and in Self

Participants will engage in 12- or 24-week liberatory ecosystems, co-created with certified global guides and coaches, culminating in a 7- or 10-day onsite rejuvenating retreat that features a collective artistic collaboration within the cohort.
