We’ve been a little quieter lately, and it’s for the simplest and most important reason—family. The kind of love that rearranges your priorities without asking. The kind of care that pulls you close and asks you to show up fully, even when you’re tired, scared, or unsure of what the days ahead will hold.

The steady devotion within a family can be the very thing that keeps a loved one going. Since the start of the year, the needs of someone dear to us have shifted in ways we hoped we wouldn’t have to face just yet. The level of care required now—and the constant adjustments needed to meet each new change—can feel overwhelming at times. But we face it together, learning as we go, trying new approaches, and holding tight to dignity, health, and moments of happiness wherever they appear. We are eternally grateful for the family and friends who have shown up for us. Blessed doesn’t begin to cover it.

I’ve been grateful to bring my nursing experience and my heart into this moment, helping guide a transition that is tender, complex, and profoundly personal. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been deeply meaningful. We never have enough time with the ones we love, and this is where I knew I needed to be.

We’ve appreciated the space to be present where we’re needed most. Slowly finding our way back to the balance of all that we hold dear.
