We have an exciting addition to the clinic! Dr. Lawler will be welcoming student doctor Bethany Allen. Let's find out more about her!
"Hello! My name is Bethany Allen, and I am currently in my last couple months of Chiropractic school at Logan University. I am originally from Geneva, IL which is a northwest suburb of Chicago. I attended Iowa State for my undergraduate degree and studied Kinesiology while helping in a chiropractic office near school. I chose Chiropractic because I grew up with my father who is a D.O adjusting us. I have always loved science and medicine but I am more interested in Chiropractics as I don’t do too well around blood. I love to learn about nutrition and other ways to help prevent chronic conditions. I work in the Women's Health clinic at Logan learning how to take care of patients who are pregnant, wanting to become pregnant, postpartum, postmenopausal, dealing with all kinds of things I am happy to learn about and help with. I have taken multiple different kinds of technique courses and plan to take as many as I can before graduation. I practice using multiple techniques depending on my patient including Diversified, Activator, Logan Basic, Gonstead, Thompson, and different muscle work and Myofascial Release techniques.
My plans after graduating are still in the works as I would love to practice anywhere I am needed. I would love to be able to work with as many different kinds and ages of people as I can. I am happy right now to have learned how to care for women more in-depth while being in school, but I love learning about nutrition and how nutrition needs change while we age and go through different stages in life. In my free time I like to read and crochet as I don’t have much free time right now while in school, but I can’t wait to start working more instead of sitting in classrooms or doing homework. I am excited to learn and work with Dr. Lawler starting in September through April."
