Jim asked Carla to be his queen at sasi Prom in June and the answer was YES 👑💕

These two are wonderful together. They both recently moved and are now living just about 20 minutes apart!

They talk on the phone daily, and being close together again has made it easy to visit and keep their relationship strong.

Today is National Nurses Day and we want to give a shout out to our amazing nurses who care for the people we support every single day.

At sasi, nursing isn’t just about clinical care. It’s about building trust, showing patience, advocating, and helping people with developmental disabilities live as independently and meaningfully as possible.

Our nurses meet people where they are and support them with compassion, dignity, and consistency. They play a huge role in creating the sense of belonging, integrity, and growth that we strive for across our organization.

We’re big fans of the Kentucky Derby around here 🐎

Across our residences and day programs, the big day turned into a full-on celebration.

From designing and showing off some incredible Derby hats to friendly competitions and plenty of laughs, it was a day packed with derby themed fun!

👒 At Angola Day Hab, the group went all in with hat-making and a “best hat” contest.

🏁 At Killarney, residents not only created their own hats but got in on the action with wheelchair races of their own!

🐴 And one of our favorite traditions made another appearance—a hands-on “race track” game where participants rolled dice, answered fun questions, and moved their horses along the track!

Hope everyone had just as fun of a derby day!

We want to say a huge thank you to Mary for turning her creativity and hard work into something meaningful for Moving Miracles Dance Program 💙

Through her own fundraising efforts, Mary raised nearly $1,300 to support our dancers and programs! We’re so grateful for the time, energy, and heart she put into giving back to a program that means so much to so many.

Special thanks as well to Poplar Hill Wedding Venue, EA Winter Market, Blue Eyed Baker, and Aurora Cutting Edge for helping make these efforts possible.
