This week, we stopped by the newly opened location at Queens Center Mall, marking the brand’s first food court location in Queens 🌶️🍗

Known for its Nashville-style hot chicken, Dave’s Hot Chicken continues its rapid expansion across New York City, bringing its signature spice levels and bold flavors to one of Queens’ busiest shopping destinations.

During our visit, we tried the No. 2 combo featuring two chicken sandwiches with fries, topped with cheese as recommended by co-owner John. The sandwiches were finished with a drizzle of honey, adding balance to the heat.

We also sampled fan-favorite sides including the loaded mac and cheese, loaded fries, and the brand’s Fruity Pebbles milkshake, which has become a standout menu item among regulars. Franchise partners, John and Michael Froccaro, shared their excitement about operating inside a food court for the first time, while local Queens teens told us the new location makes Dave’s Hot Chicken more accessible than ever.

Freedom Dr., a short connecting road that cuts through Forest Park in Richmond Hill, officially opened back up to traffic on Jan. 5 after having been closed for the past five years for pedestrian and bicyclist use only. Late last year, Queens Community Board 9 held a public hearing and took a vote to determine whether or not to open the road year-round, and ultimately settled on a compromise to keep it exclusively for pedestrian use during the warmer months from April to October, and closed the rest of the year for commuters.

Tucked away down a long corridor of the Falchi Building in Long Island City, a haven of health and wellness prepares and bottles raw cold-pressed juice, from potent ginger shots that awaken the senses to fresh juice blends that provide a much-needed glow from the inside out. Juice Press, located at 31-00 47th Ave. in Long Island City, first settled its factory’s roots in Queens in 2014, after expanding from a small 1800 square foot space in the West Village to the expansive 30,000 square foot super kitchen that they have today, where they prepare the brand’s fresh juice blends along with acai bowls, soups, and other plant-powered meals, made preservative-free for their over two dozen locations throughout New York City.
