Beginning of the year motivational s**t. Pic 1: surgery after competing with a complete tear of the biceps long head, that happend 2 weeks before the 2022 southern muscle, at 190lbs picture 2.
Picture 3, 2024, same show “participation”. 225lbs stage wheight, from 275lbs off. The pain when getting injured preparing for a show, so close, is beyond physical. You suck it up, cry your eyes off (thats what i did), and get back to train, if you can, the next day. Now, project 300lbs starts today.

The social effect of secondary priority:

Training is secondary: text, social media, videos, photos, sponsorships, eyes...are priority.
The Self, is secondary: “Let me show everyone that I’m working on MYSELF”, discovering myself as a person, dealing with my past, my frustrations, my existential crisis. It’s not self if you’re posting it for the world to see it, you’re simply screaming for attention. Self is secondary.
Good deeds, donations, philanthropy, helping, being a good person in general, are secondary. Filming to promote yourself or ONLY for the hopes of a place in heaven, is primary.
Driving and paying attention to your surroundings in traffic is secondary. Using the telephone while doing so is primary nowadays.
And so we take great strides towards a sick society, ant steps but no desire, bagging for attention, likes and views. What have we become? JMC. ?

3/16/2020. A date that changed my perspective in business/life. 4 years exactly, I opened the door for Temple Nutrition Nola. This name, the meaning, the philosophy behind it, started when I was 18 years old. I opened my first store when I wasn’t even 20, and kept it for almost 10 years, in my home town in Brazil. Made a lot of money, lost a lot of money, made good and disastrous decisions, but for sure learned a lot before venturing in this new chapter of my life. New country, new beginning, new people, but never left behind TN. March-2020, aftera little over a year of joining , the opportunity knocked on my door again. No money at all to even think about starting a business, only my beliefs and desire. But as nothing in our existence happens without the existence of other individuals, I couldn’t be more lucky to have Shawn as my landlord (hope he isn’t going to kick my behind), and my partner Ben that always believed in me. 2 days later the state shutdown. Lol. Cutting it short, 4 years later, TN is still around making new friends/customers daily, and earning the trust of people in a very saturated market full of bs. My sincere thanks goes to every member of Valhalla and Shawn. Looking forward for some good news in 2024. Quality-Information-Results.

I’ve been asked a few times if I train to failure in all my sets. Even knowing what the creature wants to hear, it is impossible to respond to such “idiocy” with a simple yes, no, maybe, sometimes...
To understand why I train, I would have to go back in time almost 30 years and even then I wouldn’t have a suitable answer to understand/answer this question. Training for me goes beyond any theory, physiology studies, scientific methods and all this s**t. If you enter a training facility with a cell phone, if you choose what to wear, if your time talking and socializing is greater than the effort you put into training, if you can’t just focus on the moment, if you count numbers like a calculator, If you think or say “I can’t do it” during training, if you can’t even breathe properly, scream uncontrollably with zero resistance…If only one of these “options” above is applicable to you, you have already reached failure even before the warm up. I train to feel alive during 30 minutes of my day. And you? Why do you walk in a training facility? Think about it. Or not.
