The Western Wisconsin Wheels chapter of AMBUCS was chartered in 2015 to help make AmTrykes available to children.

Joey is a prone positioning device, designed to support infants in this 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗴𝗲-𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 👶

We all start our lives in a prone position from birth. The importance of this position is not just “belly/tummy time”. Prone positioning, 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, supports spinal development, movement against gravity, postural control, vestibular processing, respiratory and gastrointestinal development of the infant.

Our Story

Service area counties: LaCrosse, Buffalo, Jackson, Monroe, Juneau, Vernon, Crawford, Richland, Sauk, Houston, Winona, Filmore, Alamakee, Winnishiek & Trempeleau

The Western Wisconsin Wheels chapter of AMBUCS was chartered in 2015 to fill a need in our region. We are the first chapter in Wisconsin. Our current membership is made up of therapists, parents and teachers who appreciate the importance of fitness in the lives of all children. We are raising funds with the goal of helping make adaptive, therapeutic AmTrykes available to children whose disabilities have made them previously unable to enjoy the benefits of biking.
