My son was so excited to be cast as SpongeBob in the SpongeBob Musical. And more excited for opening week.

Well as luck would have it, he got sick and started to lose his voice. The second show on the 2 show Saturday proved to be too much for it and he almost lost it completely.

However, a group of his cast mates rallied behind him and backed him up by singing with him and even taken some of his lines.

This brought tears to my eyes and showed me that this show had a bigger meaning.

These kids supported, encouraged and carried their cast mate to help make an amazing show.

Many times kids often teach adults and they did just that last night.

They showed that when one person is not at their strongest the other people take over and help support and carry the other person. It's the epitome of what love and a sense of community looks like.

What an amazing group of people that brought the message of the show to real life.

We are stronger together

When Jagger was in 3rd grade he wanted no part of being on stage.

In 4th grade he decided he would help me do lights.

In 5th grade he decided to audition for Wizard of Oz and was cast in his first show.

Fast forward to his senior year and this week he performs in SpongeBob the Musical in the role of SpongeBob.

So proud of this kid and can't wait to see him in his element!
