Here’s how to squat smarter, not just heavier 👇

1️⃣ Set your base
Feet shoulder-width, toes slightly out, weight evenly spread. A solid foundation = a stronger lift.

2️⃣ Bar placement matters
Rest the bar on your upper-back muscle shelf — not your neck. Pull it in tight to keep your upper body strong and stable.

3️⃣ Brace like an athlete
Deep breath into your core, ribs stacked over hips. A strong brace protects your spine and boosts power.

4️⃣ Control the descent
Hips back slightly, knees tracking over toes, chest tall. Take 2–3 seconds on the way down — no dropping into the bottom.

5️⃣ Depth with purpose
Hit parallel (or below if mobility allows) while keeping heels down and the core locked in. Quality depth > forced depth.

6️⃣ Drive up with power
Push the floor away, keep knees in line with toes, and finish tall without over-arching the lower back.

Most people swing the weight. He’s controlling it. Here’s how to turn every curl into real progress 👇

1️⃣ Lock your shoulder in place
Think of your upper arm as glued to your side. No rocking, no swinging. The only thing that moves is your forearm. This keeps the tension on the biceps instead of your joints.

2️⃣ Control the tempo

2 seconds to lift

1 second squeeze at the top

3–4 seconds to lower
That slow negative (on the way down) is where the real muscle-building magic happens.

3️⃣ Grip with intention
Crush the handle like you mean it and keep your wrist straight. A strong, neutral wrist protects the joint and helps recruit more muscle fibers in the forearm and biceps.

4️⃣ Breathe with the rep
Exhale as you lift, inhale as you lower. Proper breathing keeps your core tight, your blood pressure safer, and your power more consistent.

5️⃣ Stop before you cheat
When you feel your body start to swing or your lower back engage, that set is done. Quality reps > ugly extras.

Set: Chest proud, ribs down, squeeze shoulder blades before the first pull.

Grip: Just outside shoulders; wrists stacked over elbows (no curling the bar).

Path: Bar to upper chest; think “elbows to ribs,” not bar to face.

Tempo: 2–3 sec control up, 1 sec pause down. Own the negative = bigger back.

Finish: Stop when blades touch your spine (figuratively) — don’t shrug, don’t rock.
