20 YEARS AgO!!!
Twenty years ago I stepped into a classroom to learn massage therapy and bodywork.
I leapt, I jumped, I took a chance, I had no clue, and I did it anyway.
TWENTY years ago I left a career and stepped forward into the unknown of a new path, a calling which I eventually learned was my soul’s purpose and passion. If I had known… I likely would not have been brave enough. I was guided, led, and followed unknowingly. Or perhaps passion fueled an inner knowing. At some point along the way a quiet trust became big Trust in something greater than myself.
I cannot believe I’ve made it this long. At the time the average “career” of a massage therapist was 5 years. I remember wishing and hoping to make it to ten years. To “make it” at all. Like life, it’s been a journey of wonderful highs and really hard lows. Honestly I received many many miracles along the way to make it.
I’ve had almost an insatiable appetite for learning massage and craniosacral therapy. The business aspect of building, re-building, and running the business proved the most challenging.
I am indebted and incredibly grateful to all who have supported me along the way. My family has been incredible and without them none of this would have happened. Friends, classmates and colleagues have offered support, advice, and encouragement. Every client has taught me something. And I am honored and humbled to be of service to them. THANK YOU to all who have made this dream a reality.
All of this has enriched my life and made it all worth it. I LOVE what I do. I may not do this work for another twenty years, but I plan on continuing for many many more years. I am grateful beyond words!
