Get to know another one of our amazing caregivers and her why! We love Melissa!

"I unfortunately, had the opportunity to take care of all four of my grandparents before they passed away. The majority of my time was spent with my grandpa and grandma Smith. Grandma Bonnie suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and I vividly remember going with her to help take care of her parents (my great grandparents) and ever since then I’ve always loved taking care of the elderly.

There are so many reasons I love being a part of the calling on angels team. The main ones are 1. Being able to make and keep connections with the patients. I love being able to care for people and help them with their needs whatever it may be.
2. I love that our clients get to stay in their own homes! I remember that was a big thing for my grandma as she started forgetting thing 3. everyone needs human interaction! For most of our clients us coming over is the highlight of their day!

Knowing I have a job that actually makes a difference in someone’s life makes all the long days worth it!"

This is US! Here at Calling on Angels we do more than “in home care”. As a non-medical care company we’re able to do the things most often overlooked and forgotten. We get to care for the folks that deserve quality care, and spend our days and nights ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and independent.

Independence is huge for our clients. As we age, we lose the ability to do many things for ourselves. THAT is why it’s so important to us to ensure that our clients not only have the helping hand when they need it, but have the ability to do things when they want to do them, how they want to do them.

Meet the Staff: Stephanie Sweet

Stephanie has been with Calling on Angels for a few years and we are lucky to have her! Learn a little more about her passion for senior care.

"I love talking to our clients—they always have the best stories to share! It's fascinating to hear about their families, their careers, where they grew up, and what life in Cedar City was like back in the day.

I also love helping them. Every visit is a chance to meet their needs and show them that I truly care. Whether it's assisting with tasks around the house that once came easily to them, or simply being present, I enjoy making a difference. One of my favorite things is hearing them say, “It was good seeing you today—come by anytime!”

It means so much to me to make them feel special.

Families can get busy, and when they choose in-home care for their loved ones, it shows how much they value keeping them comfortable and cared for in a place they love. That’s why providing the best care is so important.

I always bring a smile, and I make sure they know how important they are to me.
