💫Reminder💫

The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) will convene for its monthly meeting tomorrow, in line with its tradition of meeting on the last Thursday of each month.

More information can be found in the flyer below. This meeting will be held at JJ Smith, with an option for participants to join virtually.

The district website will host a dedicated landing page for SEPAC, providing access to resources, upcoming events, schedules, and meeting locations, and much more!

Also, please keep an eye out that in an effort to improve outreach for paren input, and identify barriers to engagement, we will be sharing an anonymous poll I would greatly appreciate your feedback !

King County invites you to our virtual information sessions to help students with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) prepare for life after school.

There will be two types of sessions:

Orientation: This session will explain the School-to-Work Program and the roles of the S2W Team, Developmental Disabilities Community Services (DDCS) and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). We welcome students of all ages and their families who are interested in learning about and preparing for future employment opportunities and services to attend.
Scheduled for: 11/4/2025 and 2/10/2026 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.


Meet & Greet: This session explains employment services for students with I/DD. Employment service agencies will be in attendance and able to answer any questions. While the session is open to all, we encourage students in transition services and their families to attend.

Scheduled for: 4/28/2025 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Parent Interview Study Recruitment: Your Voice, Their Growth

Are you a primary caregiver of a child (ages 0–8) whose behaviors sometimes make everyday activities and routines at home more challenging?

The College of Education would like to hear from you! Help the team understand how to better support families by participating in a Zoom interview.

Interviews take approximately 45–60 minutes

Participants will receive $45 for their time
