In the 1950s, every kindergartener knew the ritual: crayons down, lights low, and the soft hum of a record spinning through the air.
Naptime wasn’t a break — it was part of learning.

Teachers dimmed the lights, tiptoed between mats, and whispered, “Close your eyes.”
Kids rested, dreamed, or just stared at sunbeams dancing on the ceiling — learning something we’ve since forgotten: that rest is part of growth.

Then came the tests.
The “readiness.”
The race to get ahead.
By the 1980s, naps were gone. The mats rolled up. The lights stayed on.

Today, five-year-olds spend more time in structured lessons than third-graders did in the 1950s — no pauses, no quiet, no chance to just be.
And we wonder why they’re anxious.

Maybe it’s time we remembered what our teachers once knew:
You don’t grow by running all the time.
You grow in the stillness too.
Even big kids need naptime sometimes.

What is something your body allows you to do that you’re grateful for? 🤔

During Bullying Prevention Month, let’s shift the focus from how bodies look to what they do for us! 🙌

Our bodies let us laugh, learn, move, and connect — and that’s something worth celebrating 🧡

Today is World Teachers’ Day! Who was your favorite teacher, and how did they shape the way you see yourself? Tell us in the comments below! 👩‍🏫

We want to celebrate the teachers who help young people look beyond the mirror—reminding them that true value comes from within, not from appearance 🙌

Teachers encourage young people to recognize their strengths like creativity, kindness, problem-solving, empathy, and so much more– reminding them that what’s on the inside is more important than what’s on the outside.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month! Did you know that as much as 55% of bullying in young people revolves around appearance?

Bullying affects everyone- the kids who do the bullying, the ones who are bullied, their families, and those that see it happen 😕

The negative impacts can lead to poor academic performance, mental health issues like depression and anxiety, and even su***de 💔

National Bullying Prevention Month is an opportunity to spread the message that bullying is not an acceptable part of growing up and to foster kindness and inclusion 🤝

Show your support and help us raise awareness by sharing this post! 🧡

How many diets have you tried in your life? 👀

Diet culture is a set of beliefs that pushes the idea that our worth and value are based on our appearance. It prioritizes thinness over EVERYTHING, including our mental and physical health. These beliefs have influenced us to view small bodies as good and healthy, when in reality body size isn’t good or bad and doesn’t define health 🙅

The diet industry has profited very much from these beliefs. In fact, it has grown to be worth over $70 billion dollars by convincing us that we’re not good enough, or healthy, unless our bodies are small 🤏

Everyone is affected by diet culture, including children. In fact, studies have shown that children form opinions on what their body should look like as young as 3 years old and worry about being “too fat.” 😔

Diet culture thrives on making us feel “not enough.” The truth? You already are. ❤️

Say it loud with us—because you deserve to believe these words:

✨ I am worthy of rest, no matter how much I accomplish.

✨ I release the pressure to do it all — balance brings me peace.

✨ My value is not measured by productivity or the size and shape of my body.

✨ I honor my body’s need for nourishment, rest, and joy.

✨ I am enough exactly as I am today.
