Our residents helped prepare for the celebration by painting flower pots that we’ll use to plant beautiful flowers on Mother’s Day. It was a wonderful way to get creative together while looking ahead to honoring all the amazing mothers in our community. 💙😊

Today we took a bite out of the Big Apple with our Taste of Atria: Manhattan experience! Residents enjoyed a delicious corned beef and coleslaw sandwich, homemade chicken noodle soup, and for dessert, a classic black and white cookie.
Our General Manager, Anela, is a New York native, so we asked her favorite thing about New York and without hesitation she said, “the pizza!” 🍕
One of our residents also shared that she has visited Columbia University and loved the experience. ❤️

Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌿
Today we celebrated by making birdseed ornaments to hang in the trees around our community. We hope these special treats will attract a variety of birds for our residents to enjoy a little birdwatching right outside their windows.
As we crafted, we shared stories about our favorite feathered friends. Some of the birds our residents love seeing most are hummingbirds, cardinals, and blue jays.
We can’t wait to see which beautiful birds visit us this spring and summer! 🐦💚

While we were crafting, one of our residents shared a hilarious old rhyme that had everyone laughing:
“Grandpa’s beard was long and wavy,
Sometimes gets in grandpa’s gravy,
He chews it in his sleep
And thinks it’s shredded wheat!” 🤭🌾
