Celebrating Clinical Success : Hazel Webb

Mrs. Hazel Webb was a resident of Christian Care of Unicoi County who admitted to our Rehabilitation Center to participate in our inpatient program following a decline in function.

Mrs. Webb pursued goals in therapy that included improvements in strength for dynamic stability during activities of daily living, extremity muscle endurance for walking increased distances, and balance for the progression of activity tolerance. With the Clinical Team tailoring exercise activities towards Mrs. Webb's goals, she quickly demonstrated advancements in dynamic stability, walking distance, and activity tolerance. Driving her success in therapy was her increasing will to go home.

With the completion of therapy, Mrs. Webb exhibited exuberance for the opportunity to return home. She states that she enjoyed therapy and that her overall stay at Christian Care Center of Unicoi was great. She continues to state that outside of therapy her favorite activities were Bible Study and playing BINGO. By the end of her stay, Mrs. Webb's resoluteness led her to her ultimate goal, home. Thank you for choosing Christian Care Center of Unicoi County for your Rehabilitation. We are proud of the progress you made!

Celebrating Clinical Success : Minty Adkins

Ms. Minty Adkins was a resident of Christian Care of Unicoi County who admitted to our Rehabilitation Center to participate and participated in our inpatient program following a decline in function.

Ms. Adkin's goal required increased emphasis on balance and stability during therapy sessions due to decreased stability and mobility that hindered safe independence during the performance of daily tasks. She was able to participate in Physical Therapy services to improve safety during independent tasks, mobility, and stability during the performance of functional activities. Each session Ms. Adkins demonstrated improvements in balance and mobility in order to safely perform independent activities of daily living. With dedication, resoluteness, and a great attitude towards each session, Ms. Adkins excelled in all tasks which improve dynamic stability during functional tasks.

With the completion of therapy, Ms. Adkins exhibited thankfulness for her improved ability to do functional tasks without loss of balance. She continues to state that she had good experience with receiving therapy as well as with all her caretakers (nursing staff). She solemnly states that she will miss everyone that has helped her.

As Ms. Adkins demonstrated improved safety as she was able to graduate therapy with a smile and improved balance. We want to thank her for choosing Christian Care Center of Unicoi County for his Rehabilitation and we are proud of the progress you made!
