Celebrating Clinical Success : Peggy Hardin
Ms. Peggy Hardin was a resident of Christian Care of Unicoi County who admitted to our Rehabilitation Center to participate in our inpatient program following a decline in function.
Ms. Hardin pursued goals in therapy that included improvements in strength for dynamic stability during activities of daily living, upper and lower extremity muscle endurance for walking increased distances, and balance for the progression of activity tolerance. With the Clinical Team tailoring exercise activities towards Ms. Hardin's goals, she quickly demonstrated advancements in dynamic stability, walking distance, and activity tolerance. Driving her success in therapy was her increasing will to go home
With the completion of therapy, Ms. Hardin exhibited exuberance for the opportunity to return home. She states that she enjoyed therapy, and it helped her improve her balance and ability to do “daily tasks”, but she is even more excited to go home. Ms. Hardin was a joyful patient that even when therapy was hard, always kept a smile and a joke going. By the end of her stay, Ms. Hardin determination to go home, led her to her ultimate goal, home.
Thank you for choosing Christian Care Center of Unicoi County for your Rehabilitation. We are proud of the progress you made!
