ABA at Home Can Be FUN 🎉
ABA doesn’t stop when session ends — and it doesn’t have to feel like “therapy” either! Some of the best learning happens in everyday moments at home 💙
Here are fun, simple ways to incorporate ABA naturally:
✨ Turn chores into learning – Have your child sort laundry by color, match socks, or follow 1–2 step directions while cleaning up toys.
🎲 Make games intentional – Practice turn-taking during board games, requesting during snack time, or labeling during scavenger hunts.
🍪 Kitchen skills = life skills – Work on sequencing, following directions, and communication while baking or making lunch together.
🚗 On-the-go learning – Play “I Spy” for labeling and describing, or practice patience and waiting skills during errands.
📚 Story time expansion – Pause while reading and ask WH questions or have your child predict what happens next.
ABA is simply breaking skills into small, teachable moments — and those moments are everywhere 💡
At 1-Step Ahead, we love helping families feel confident bringing skills into real life. Because progress happens beyond the session đź’™
