Springsnow Massage

Springsnow Massage Hello and welcome! Massage is something I've practiced actively since 2005. Sounds simple right? I hope that you'll be next and book a session with me today.

My observances of the mind-body connection has evolved to the point that I believe posture, movement awareness and well being are all linked. For example my shoulders are more limber and relaxed when I'm good with my self care. I notice a difference in my giving of massage and giving a deep tissue session doesn't wear on my body as much. There's that pleasant ripple effect through out my life that has that global benefit. If I can bring this kind of well being and ease to you in your daily life, I'd like to. A simple "wow, that's sore" when I work on a spot you didn't know was bothering you or was contributing to some active pain could turn into a minor change in your daily practices that leads to some more ease in your life. I've gotten into the habit of trying to help the world be a better place one person at a time.

AR description for if you'd like to forward to someone in your life
that you think would benefit and attend a class;

If you choose to attend Authentic Relating, you are choosing to learn
to be more you through play. The 5 agreements of Authentic Relating
create a framework that, when followed, creates a safe space to take
care of yourself in relation with others. Authentic Relating (AR)
differs from "typical" social contracts by illuminating the internal
implicit relational habits you've formed in your journey so far by
bringing them into the external explicit through a rich library of
games.

The five agreements;

1. Respect yourself.
2. Lean into your edge.
3. Stay present.
4. Confidentiality upon request.
5. Check your assumptions.

Before the class begins, I will go over the general principles of AR,
reflective listening skills and the 5 agreements. I believe it's
important to take the time to ensure that each person can ask any
clarifying question and understand the "why" of the agreements.

As many of these relating games can bring up strong emotions as you play with these implicit concepts, I have learned to set a non-negotiable pre-requisite of this class to be that you are able to meditate in self reflection for 3 minutes. This prerequisite is for your emotional safety. While I hope that this class is therapeutic for you, I am neither a trained therapist nor am I encouraging therapy or "trauma dumping" like interactions to happen during these classes. As a listener, it is always your right to stop any interaction you are not comfortable engaging in. "Respect yourself" is agreement number one for a reason.

If you choose to attend Authentic Relating this evening hosted by Gabriel SpringSnow LMT at 6PM, you are choosing to explore your implicit biases in how you relate to yourself and others through play.

After the external doors are closed at 6:05 I'll go over the 5 agreements of Authentic Relating (AR) to create a framework that, when followed, can create a safe space to take care of just yourself and trust that the "other" is doing the same. This "AR" space differs from the "autopilot" you experience daily by illuminating the relational habits we have all learned since growing into adulthood.

I charge $5 and here is the address: 1245 Charnelton St suite 8, Eugene, OR 97402

The five agreements;

Respect yourself.

Lean into your edge.

Stay present.

Confidentiality upon request.

Check your assumptions.

As many of the relating games can bring up strong emotions as you play with these concepts, I have learned to go over the "why" of each agreement every class with every student and have set a non-negotiable pre-requisite to be that you are able to meditate in self reflection for 3 minutes before beginning AR.

I do hope that this class is very therapeutic for you however, I am neither trained a therapists nor am I encouraging therapy to happen during these classes. If your intention is to non consensually "dump" your "stuff" on others, this is not the class for you and every person is welcome at any time to "take care of themselves" by concluding a conversation at any time. I do have a referral network of licensed therapists that I'd be happy to refer you to if that is a path you wish to pursue.

As the medical insurance companies continue to “do their thing” in giving providers like massage therapists head aches, I continue to offer “pay at time of service” bodywork at my downtown massage office at 1245 Charnelton St suite 8, Eugene, OR 97402.

To learn more about my best work, I've linked below is a link to a “3 series” example on my youtube playlist documenting a client's experience of their 3 session treatment.

All of my offered modalities and classes are on my youtube available for you review. Bonus points if you check out my 20 minute interview that I'm quite proud of with a Harvard professor on “polyvagal” theory.

Email is posted below for any direct questions you might have about my massage therapy and Community classes business.

Our Story

Hello and welcome!

Succinctly put, I believe that posture and well being are linked on some level. This may sound self explanatory but in my massage practice I’ve found it’s very often unconscious muscle recruitment patterns to this or that movement that contribute to chronic “stuff” in the body. A simple “wow, I didn’t know that was sore" on your part could morph into some daily body awareness practice towards a minor movement adjustment that mitigates pain over time in your muscles, joints and fascia.

I offer to your door step, in-home table or Thia massage bodywork in the Eugene, OR area. My rates are $80 an hr, $100 for 1.5hr and $120 for a 2hr session. I am working on being able to take some insurances but am currently a cash/card payment, to your door step business. If you would like, do check that out my fb business page and the varied events I offer. Community support is the only way a business thrives.

I’ve practiced massage in both relaxation focused spas and in medically oriented settings since the beginning of my career in 2005. I look forward to working with you over and hope to continue to help the world be a better place, one massage at a time.
