I’ve got a major rebellious streak in me and I love *testing* anxiety.

I love seeing if it’s right, if it tells the truth.

Was it right when it said how bad things were going to go, how terrible it was going to be?

NEVER.

Anxiety loves to exaggerate.

Try it and find out.

Also try these three life changing keys for managing anxiety in your life now — DM me “anxiety” to get them.

Joy can exist with anxiety, with fear — anxiety doesn’t get to take all the joy!

One of my favorite “quick” anxiety tricks is this: Set your life up in a way that works for you.

When you don’t, you’re doing things that create anxiety.

You’re doing things that make you anxious.

You don’t need to do that.

Right now: Drop alllll the judgement and think about what would ACTUALLY work for you in life.

What can you change that would work BETTER and make you LESS anxious?

Then start to shift it.

It’s OK! Do things in a way that’s better for you.

Stop trying to figure it all out ahead of time.

I’ve wasted years of my life thinking about all the things that *could* happen and wondering what I’ll do.

If you want to start quieting anxiety in your life right now, follow in my footsteps.

One of the best things you can do is—

Trust that you can figure out what to do about a tricky situation that comes up **in the moment.**

This stops so much of what anxiety is —

Ruminating, wondering, obsessing, worrying overthinking, guessing, “what-if-ing” about things that *might* happen or *could* happen.

Stop guessing, obsessing, wondering “what if,” and trust — you’ll sit down and figure it out — IF it happens!

This is a HUGE step toward quieting anxiety in your life.

It will create so much peace! Save you wasted time, energy, and angst that you could be using to live your life and enjoy the people you love.

Start trusting that you can deal with situations that come up…IF they come up.

You CAN do it.

Anxiety ruining a good time is THE WORST.

It’s so unnecessary.

I can’t count the number of times I decided to do something fun, eat something yummy, or spend some money, then let anxiety come it and ruin it. 😭

It hurts worse when you want to enjoy something, plan to enjoy it, and anxiety shows up.

For goodness sake, can anxiety just let you have a good time???

It won’t, but YOU can do it.

You’re doing the thing, so resolve to enjoy it. No matter what.

Have your good time and don’t let anxiety ruin it!

I make a rule: For the next three hours or while I’m having this good time. No anxiety is allowed.

Anxiety can come back tomorrow (or not).

Share this reminder with someone who needs it. 💕

Because I’ve learned — you can help better when you’re not anxious.

I’m a force when I’m not anxious. I’m a shut down mess when I am anxious.

The world doesn’t need you to be anxious for it — it needs you to help.

You help best without anxiety.

Help doesn’t require anxiety. It requires planning, decision making, and clear, conscious thinking and emotions.

Have compassion for the bad, but stay clear, and find a way to help.

Spoiler: It was all OK! And better!

I got to do the things I wanted to do, be who I was — and I could do it! It was all fine!

All the things anxiety said weren’t true.

I was capable.

I could do it.

And it did work out!

From grocery shopping to inviting a new person out to coffee to starting a counseling business to filing for divorce — everything anxiety said was too terrifying, wasn’t.

Everything anxiety said wouldn’t work out, DID!

Anxiety wanted to take over my life and limit it, but I just couldn’t let it.

Tell me, what’s the one thing that would change your life if you could overcome anxiety?👇🏼

Attention! Notice, notice, notice…

Anxiety is WRONG!

ALL THE TIME.

Your job is to notice that…because anxiety is very compelling.

And if you don’t notice how often it’s wrong, IT will claim that’s it’s right.

Your task for the day is to notice when it’s wrong.

Let’s call anxiety out for good!

Take advantage of some accountability — tell me below how anxiety is getting it wrong for you! 💥👇🏼

I get anxiety when something is off, doesn’t feel right, or doesn’t meet my expectations.

But I’ve learned to remind myself —

*Nothing’s REALLY wrong*

It can feel weird, off, not the best, and still be fine.

It doesn’t have to ruin a good time.

Knowing *why* you feel anxious and off can help you know and remind yourself — it’s OK.

Check in — feeling *off* doesn’t necessarily mean something’s really wrong.

Tell me how you can feel off* and get anxious below. 👇🏼
