Feet of Clay - a home health foot care service

Feet of Clay - a home health foot care service A home health care foot care service. I come to you! I provide in home pedicure services. This is just something I do on the side to help people.

My name is Cecelia Honey and I am a Retired Licensed Practical Nurse with 20 years of experience of working with the elderly, in long term care settings and in home health care. I call my business Feet of Clay, because of the end of the day we all have feet of clay. Poor foot care can lead to unnecessary crippling conditions, leading to poor health. Proper foot care can help maintain a person's mobility and their general state of health. I am a retired nurse and I travel to people's homes or any institution that they are staying at and give foot care. Many people can not get to a salon to have their nails cut or they need a medical professional to do it because of various health conditions. An example could be a diabetic needing nail care or someone with thickened fungal nails needing a trim or someone who is too cognitively impaired to cooperate with foot care in an outside the home setting. I will provide pedicures to any person who wants one, however my specialty is with those who need a medical professional to trim their toenails and provide foot care. Notice I did not say licensed medical professional, I am not licensed anymore as I have retired my nursing career. My knowledge and skills have not gone away. Legally I can do this because I am a private citizen being hired by another private citizen to perform a task. The task that I provide is basic foot care and nail trimming. The fee is $50 a pedicure and $60 for a mani/pedi. Most people need a pedicure every 6-8 weeks. I travel to all areas of the Eugene/Springfield metro area and surrounding communities. I bring all necessary equipment with me including towels. All you need to provide is hot water and a comfortable place you can sit with your feet flat on the floor. I sit on the floor, so no need to worry about a seat for me.

Facebook is weird. If I look at my page without logging on (like a potential client would do) I can't see my About Me essay. So I will post it here and make it a pinned comment.

I've been getting messages telling me that my page is going to be deleted. I do not believe these messages are true. I think they are malicious malware masquerading as messages from meta. But if my Facebook should disappear well I don't know what to tell you. Guess I'd have to create a new page all over again. Anyways if my page disappears that doesn't mean my business has gone away. I'm still seeing people and I am taking new clients on.

I'm very sorry but I'm not accepting new clients right now. I am overwhelmed with the number of clients I have. I have arthritis in my spine so I have to guard my health. Sorry about that. Maybe in a few months I will be open to taking new clients again. But as it is right now I'm putting it on hold.

Here's a new before picture. This client told me he had not taken off his socks in a year! We threw away the socks.

Our Story

My name is Cecelia and I am a retired Licensed Practical Nurse with 20 years of experience of working with the elderly, in long-term care settings and in home health care. I provide in-home pedicure services. I call my business Feet of Clay, because of the end of the day we all have feet of clay. Poor foot care can lead to unnecessary crippling conditions, leading to poor health. Proper foot care can help maintain a person's mobility and their general state of health. I am a retired LPN nurse and I travel to people's homes or any institution that they are staying at and provide foot care. I come to you! Many people can not get to a salon to have their nails cut or they need a medical professional to do it because of various health conditions. An example could be someone with thickened fungal nails needing a trim or someone who is too cognitively impaired to cooperate with foot care in an outside the home setting. I will provide pedicures to any person who wants one, however, my specialty is with those who need a medical professional to trim their toenails and provide foot care. Notice I did not say, licensed medical professional, as I am not licensed anymore. I have retired my nursing career. This is just something I do on the side to help people. My knowledge and skills have not gone away. The fee is $35 a pedicure. Most people need a pedicure every 6-8 weeks. I travel to all areas of the Eugene/Springfield metro area and surrounding communities. I bring all necessary equipment with me including towels. I provide unrushed one on one care in the privacy and comfort of your own home. No need to travel someplace just to experience assembly line foot care. I never use a grinder or a Dremel. I feel these tools are unneccesary and are dangerous to use. It only talks a second to harm someone with a grinder. I don’t need a grinder, I haven’t encountered a toenail I can’t cut yet.
