do you miss us yet? we miss you! after adjusting to this HUGE life change, FINALLY we're ready to share the video we've been promising. now you, and we, can ALWAYS walk through our door for a breath of pure inspiration! once we closed on the sale of our property, we paused during our move to create this video as a touchstone of our 23 years of service to YOU in eureka springs.

a daily and lifetime understanding that seems particularly pertinent right now. we must level with you, we realize we may have disappointed many of you by selling our property. paradoxically, we're supremely grateful for that BECAUSE it means we made a difference in your lives. whether the impact of your experience(s) with us was small or great, please, "don't cry because it's over. smile because it happened." we love and miss all of you more than words can touch.

we're reflecting, adjusting, and resting after going through our major deconstruction. next up! please keep your eyes peeled for the VIDEO we've been promising. YOU're all in it, whether you know it or not. . .you are.

we have a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT. words usually flow smoothly. this time, it is hard to find the words, but . . . here goes:

after 23 years of service (seva) to each and every one of you, we have sold our property. our day spa is. . .no longer. we say this with tears in our eyes AND a smile on our face BECAUSE it has been such an HONOR and a PRIVILEGE to serve each and every one of you over all these years. we have ALWAYS considered it our highest obligation to share with you and provide comfort and happiness for YOU. although we have LOVED every beautiful (and sometimes gruesome) moment of having a "not so normal" small business in eureka. . .it is simply time for us to "graduate" from this phase of things.

on the "not so typical" note. . .for the perceptive ones, you always felt there was something "different" about what was happening in our space. hats off to you for recognizing that. is this a day spa? an art gallery? a place that supports people and the planet? or is this truly a spiritual place? the answer is, ALL OF THE ABOVE. we've always said, we have our head in heaven AND our feet on the ground. . .while our TRUE PURPOSE and mission has always been to channel the cosmic flow of life, love & beauty. and it ALWAYS will be.

we will keep you posted on our future endeavors and we hope that you can be a part of those too. in the meantime, please CELEBRATE with us as we will be in our gallery until the end of this month. to express our gratitude to you, we will be offering complimentary chair massage (with tana!

today is bryan's birthday! he has many titles, but only wears one hat (and it's a beret): co-owner and original founder of gryphon's roost, love of my life, business partner, life partner, astrologer, artist/painter, beautiful soul with a grand vision, etc.

look what tana (our massage therapist that we-and you- ADORE) made for him! this is the coolest, most wildly creative gift. a singular rose made from the leaves of our tulip tree on the property. there's more to this story that brings tears to our eyes, but for now, let us honor the spirit of GIVING and bryan's birthday!

when everybody else is "holiday-ing", we are working :). YES, it is a "labor of LOVE"! when you give without the thought of reward, sometimes the gifts just show up at the most unexpected of times. THIS was one of those times. one of our VERY favorite local clients arrived for her appointment this weekend bringing us wildflowers & veggies fresh from her garden! we gratefully and graciously accept

slow down! i wanna take a picture of you! this VW was boogyin' down the road during the parade. had to run out the front door to capture it. we LOVE the VW parade AND really love it that our parades are always right outside our "office window"!!!

well, that was a great way to end our week! kept the spa open a little late today for "thelma & louise". let's just say, definitely the older, more stable and much happier version of them. these two very spry and spontaneous ladies came in after being on the road together for 60 days. they left home saying, "they were just feeling adventuresome".

they landed in eureka springs as their final destination before heading back home to georgia. at this point, all they wanted was to have a deeply unwinding experience. during these 2 months of being on the road together, they basically planned very little and just let the spirit guide them to wherever they needed to be. made no reservations, etc. it was no accident that they ended up in eureka AND with us for their spa services. . .we fell in love with them. what an inspiration they were! one of whom is a 4 time cancer survivor!!!

the two of them have been best friends for most of their lives and even bought houses next door to one another. when asking them if they wanted to be in the couples room together for their massage & facial . . .i jokingly said, "aren't you getting tired of each other yet?" they said, "oh no, we would LOVE to be in the couples room together, no need to separate us now." (love it!)

now, back to YOU. if this is inducing YOUR feeling of wanderlust, you know where we are. we're closed on tuesday/wednesday. be back on thursday. well . . .maybe. we may just jump in the car with a few "young"girls who really know how to travel happy.

yes. take a moment to pause and take a deep breath. remember: when you're kind to yourself, the whole world feels more kind.

we hear this from clients often. as crazy as things seem in the world. . . during the time that you're here with us in our spa, maybe not a whole lot changed in the outside world, but YOU are definitely transported to a place where you feel a bazillion times better. want to go to "that place" with us?

for some reason, the song "don't go chasing waterfalls" just keeps running through our heads. we didn't have to go too far to chase this glorious waterfall. we took this video off of our 2nd level deck where harding spring runs across our land. can be seen (and mostly heard) from all three decks. i really wanted to sing the song while recording the video, but the waterfall sounds far better by itself;) stop. breathe. take a 25 second soothing listen. much love to ALL. . .

wow! a customer recently shared with us this historical postcard of our building, adjacent to harding spring, from the late 1800's/early 1900's. we love the way it reveals just how rich in eureka history our property is! so interesting to view the past, compared to the present, huh? we lovingly restored what is now "our hip little sanctuary for body, mind & spirit". . . and the rest is history.

have to share a funny message from a great repeat client. as they're on the road to get here for their spa services this afternoon, a message came in. "just checking in to confirm our appointments", she said: "do you have inner peace essential oil in stock? if so, i need some." our response: "yes, do you want us to put some back for you? it sells really fast and we only have a few left. INNER PEACE is in really high demand these days." she said: "yes. i'll take 2 bottles."

not sure why that was so funny, but it was. anybody else need a double shot of inner peace?
