What a great true story! This movie is a must see! In 1955, five young Mexican-American caddies, out of the love for the game, were determined to learn how to play, so they created their own golf course in the middle of the South Texas desert.

Quotes from Jon Gordon
Think about it Thursday !

1) Your plan may not be working perfectly but there is a perfect plan working in you.
2) Great leaders don't succeed because they are great. They succeed because they bring out the greatness in others.
3) Through adversity we have a choice. We can run away from each other or we can run towards each other. Remember, Connection breeds Commitment.
4) No one is perfect. Your past mistakes and failures don’t have to define your future. They can refine you and help you become all that you were created to be. There is a plan for you. You have a purpose. Don’t give up. Have faith and continue to get better.
5) There's nothing more powerful than a humble person with a warrior spirit who is driven by a bigger purpose.
6) We are positive, not because life is easy. We are positive because life can be hard. It's not Pollyanna. It's about trusting God, overcoming obstacles, finding a way forward, and believing the best is yet to come!
7) One person in pursuit of excellence raises the standards of everyone around them. And as they strive for greatness they bring out the greatness in others. Be that one person today.
😎 Everyone wants to be great but you can't be great without sacrifice. When you lose yourself in the service of a greater cause you find the greatness within you.
9) Don't chase success. Decide to get better every day, do great work, and success will find you.
10) True leaders don't lead to gain power. They lead to empower and give power away.
11) Abundance will flow into our life when gratitude flows out of our heart.

These last three years of being a college parent has been challenging but rewarding to see them work together and do things for themselves. My prayers have been stronger and longer which makes me feel closer to influencing them more then their surroundings.

As a parent of adultish young individuals it’s so hard to not givie or tell them my advice or how to do things. I’m learning to be there by being honest with them while rediscovering myself and couple time with Tyrone which has been a blessing.

It’s an emotional roller coaster to transition after a summer with them but time to ensure I don’t start emotionally eating (thankful for stretchy dressy work 👖 😂) or making myself too busy to miss 😢 them.

I am working on encouraging their choices and being there for their mistakes since that’s how learn to preserve and find their calling.

Mother of college students! Praying for their purpose!
Believing for blessings! Marriages Matter! Season of Spiritual Self-Care! Educational Endeavors!
& Healing ❤️‍🩹 s!

Sometimes we just look at anxiety through one lens.

👉 A person who seems nervous with sweaty palms is anxious.

👉 A person who struggles to be in social situations is apprehensive and anxious.

But anxiety can show up in many different ways.

When we see our kids and teens are...

😴 Fatigued
😠 Irritable
😓 Restless
🤔 Overthinking
🤯 Scattered
🤐 Quiet

this could also be anxiety.

Why is it important to know this?

Because we could be too focused on the behavior instead of the underlying feelings causing our kids to withdraw or act out.

What are some other signs of anxiety? 👇

Life can be full of unexpected situations but we need to ensure we are not going through things alone…while taking care of ourselves in the mist of our journey this makes all the difference.
We go from obstacles to overflowing!
