How much do you know about women’s health? 🤔
March is a month for women 💁🏼‍♀️💃 let’s celebrate women by understanding more about women’s health!

✨It wasn’t until my last clinical training in physical therapy school that I finally learned about the importance of pelvic health for women. And I was so shocked at how little I knew!! 😮 When we take the time to normalize and understand female anatomy and cyclical changes, women have a better chance at getting the medical and wellness support they deserve✨

So here are the top 3 most important women’s health facts drawn from my clinical experience and studies in both physical therapy & yoga therapy I believe everyone should know. Enjoy! 😍

I remember when I first saw a pregnancy anatomy photo when studying physical therapy - it truly amazed me how a woman’s body can transform and change in such a short period of time!!

Did you know?
🤰During pregnancy the core and pelvic floor muscles stretch and expand to be able to withstand the pressures and forces put on them by a growing baby🤰A pregnant women’s blood volume almost doubles during pregnancy
🤰Issues like urinary incontinence and pelvic pain during pregnancy are common but not normal

With so many significant changes happening during pregnancy it’s important to take care of your body 🫶🏻 PT and yoga therapy can help ⭐️

My journey started back when I was a dancer, which lead me to discover yoga. Yoga inspired my own healing journey which ultimately lead to PT & yoga therapy so I could help you find peace in your body. 🙏🏻

❄️As we head into the winter season, with longer nights and shorter days, it’s important to make time to rest and nourish your body

🙋‍♀️I know I’ll be traveling a lot over the next month - and whenever I travel restorative yoga is my best antidote to jet lag and the hustle & bustle of airports.
