OCTOBER FAMILY OF THE MONTH SPOTLIGHT:

Hello, my name is R***r.
I love hot wheels, trains, and any kind of construction vehicle. I love playing with my little sister, Rainy, and rough housing with my dad. My mom homeschools me and I really enjoy math.

I love to make new friends at the park, but I’m still learning on how to ask to play together.
It doesn't stop me from having fun with everyone. 😎

Autism Everyone families… the sensory night for Wild Summer Lights tonight (9/24/25) at Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden has been rescheduled to next week due to weather!
See below for details. ⬇️

To ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, the Sensory-Friendly session of Wild Summer Lights, originally scheduled for Tomorrow, September 24th has been postponed to Wednesday, October 1st, due to the forecasted inclement weather.

🗓The event will now take place on Wednesday, October 1st, from 5:30 to 9:30 PM, last admission at 8:30 PM.

🟢What do you need to do?
If you've already purchased tickets, no worries! We will reschedule them for you - Just show up on Wednesday, October 1st. Still need tickets? Purchase them online at www.meskerparkzoo.com

⁉️What is Sensory Night?
Sensory Sessions are designed with intention – to create a comfortable experience for guests with sensory sensitivities. These evenings feature reduced crowds, no live music, and a calmer atmosphere. A social story is available on the Event landing page. Sensory night is also a PERFECT night for those with mobility issues, as the Zoo tram will be running on this night ONLY!

SEPTEMBER FAMILY OF THE MONTH SPOTLIGHT:

Hi, my name is Ashton.
I am a very friendly little boy. I love anything with wheels & being outdoors. My favorite places to go are the zoo, parks, and my grandparents' houses.
I have a cat named Tillie who likes to watch me play toys. Some of my favorite things to eat are chicken nuggets, spaghetti, and grilled cheese.

I am starting to say words. I love to say ‘hi’ & ‘bye’ to people.
I have overcome a lot of challenges in the last year! I go to ABA therapy along with speech & occupational therapies to help me overcome challenges.

Some advice I can give you: please be patient with me, and understand that I can get frustrated & overwhelmed.
Things that help calm me down are by taking deep breaths & being held.

9.2.25. Sensory Sunday for this weekend, Sept. 7, has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 26 in order to allow Children's Museum of Evansville to finish construction on a few areas.

*This will be the last Sensory Sunday for 2025.

*Due to organizational changes occurring behind the scenes at Autism Everyone,
we will not be renewing our partnership contract with cMoe for 2026.

We’d like to extend our gratitude to cMoe for their dedication to Autism Everyone families the last two years! 🤍 Thank you for your continued support!

8.25.25. We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to 911 Gives Hope for choosing Autism Everyone as one of many nonprofits who were chosen for the 2025 Annual Give Day. 🤍

All funds we received will be staying local to support families in the tri-state as part of our Autism Support Program, which allows kids & teens the opportunity for a scholarship for services such as speech therapy, swim lessons, driver’s education, guardianship, and more.

Congratulations to all nonprofits and community partners who also were Give Day recipients.
The work you do is inspirational!
