Thank you for being my strength on the hard days, my biggest supporter, and the person who never stops fighting for me no matter what. Thank you for every sacrifice, every prayer, every sleepless night, and every moment you put me before yourself.

I had to get a new prosthetic because the previous one caused me a lot of discomfort. No matter how many adjustments we made, it still didn’t fit properly. Over time, I gained thigh muscle and eventually outgrew that leg.

I went to see Mike at Hanger, and he made me a whole new prosthetic. This one fits so much better. Now I just have to break it in and keep moving forward.

This event was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate African American voices, stories, and achievements while showing the power of literacy through leaders students admire. We met with the kidney specialist and learned that Key’s kidneys are currently functioning at about 70% due to damage over the years. While this was a lot to take in, we’re grateful for clarity and a plan moving forward. He will continue to be closely monitored as we focus on protecting and strengthening his health.
