Boredom is a gift—for both kids and adults.

It creates space for the imagination to stretch, for creativity to spark, and for self-awareness to grow. For children, boredom can lead to inventive play and problem-solving. For adults, it’s often a quiet nudge toward reflection, rest, or rediscovery of passions. Rather than rushing to fill every quiet moment, try leaning into boredom—it just might be the beginning of something meaningful.

🌫️ Confusion Isn’t Always Loud 🌫️

Confusion is one of those emotions that doesn’t always make itself obvious. It doesn’t always show up as someone saying “I don’t know what to do.” Sometimes, confusion looks like withdrawal. Like lashing out. Like silence. Like overworking. Like changing your mind a dozen times and still not feeling settled.

In families, confusion might sound like miscommunication, tension, or avoidance. In communities, it might look like division, inconsistency, or a sense of stuckness—everyone trying to move forward but pulling in different directions.

When individuals, families, or entire groups are operating in survival mode, confusion often takes the wheel. And it makes sense—confusion is what happens when our need for clarity, safety, and understanding isn’t being met.

If you see someone acting in a way that feels frustrating or erratic, consider: Could they be confused—not just in thought, but emotionally? Could we be?

Therapy can help untangle that confusion. Whether you’re navigating it on your own, within your family, or feeling it ripple through your community—Aday At A Time Therapy Services, LLC is here to help. You don’t have to sort it out alone.

Alaska friends — struggling to sleep with all this daylight? 😴☀️

You’re not alone! In our Land of the Midnight Sun, it’s easy for your body to lose track of when it’s time to wind down. A few simple sleep hygiene tips can make a big difference:

🛏️ Use blackout curtains to block that midnight glow
🌙 Start dimming your lights an hour before bed
📱 Skip screens late at night (blue light = wide awake!)
🕰️ Stick to a consistent bedtime — even on weekends

Your body needs darkness to cue deep rest. Protect your sleep so you can thrive, no matter how bright it gets outside. 🌄💤
