This week, we are celebrating the fine men and women who answer the calls at the Fairborn Police/Fire Dispatch Center.

Often the job of a dispatcher is stressful as they answer multiple 911 calls simultaneously while dispatching and talking to police and fire crews. Everyday we rely on them, their precision and knowledge under times of great pressure or chaos. Local 1235 dropped off some treats and a gift for each of them as a small token of our deep appreciation and gratitude for helping keep all of us safe and being the voice on the other end of the radio. THANK YOU ALL!

Thanks to Waste Management - Fairborn Hauling for having our crews out to tour your facility and providing lunch! It was super interesting to learn about the safety features of the CNG fueled trash trucks and how to respond to emergencies!

Thursday crews responded to a kitchen fire and fire was quickly put out with no injuries. Always a good reminder to NEVER leave any appliance running or food cooking unattended. We appreciate our mutual aid companies from Riverside Firefighters Local 2938 IAFF Local F88-Public WPAFB Fire and Beavercreek Professional Firefighters Local 2857 for the assistance.

This weekend we are proud to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Fairborn Firefighters Local 1235.
Established April 4, 1956, generations of firefighters have dedicated their lives to serving the citizens of Fairborn with professionalism, courage, and commitment. We honor the members who came before us and built this local through hard work, sacrifice, and brotherhood. Their legacy is the foundation we stand on today.

As we celebrate 70 years, we remain committed to striving for professional excellence and serving you, your families and visitors alike.

Hospital EMS coordinators provide a critical service as a liaison between our area hospital ER's and fire departments. Today, several of our members attended a conference and one of our well known and respected EMS coordinators, Paula Balcom was surprised with an award presented by hospital management!
