About 12 years ago my then girlfriend, Bodhi, and I built a little driftwood teepee on the beach at Abbott’s Lagoon. At that time we were calling in a new home. We’ve continued to tend our little “beach house” and have rebuilt it more times than we can count. The metaphors are thick and the devotion is real. Here’s the latest version.

We had a great pre-Thanksgiving trip to Saline Valley. There was more snow on the road than I’d seen before and we almost didn’t make it. The adventure made being there that much sweeter.

This is so wild! Every night a dusk hundreds of bats coming flying out of the side of this building. Which means, of course, that there are hundreds of bats living in the wall. Yikes!
