Of course we weren’t able to capture all the moments from our Sensory Playdate, but we’re so thankful to have had Yuri from with us to help create such a safe and supportive playdate for families. 🤍
While little ones explored, played, moved, mixed, and created, parents were also able to ask questions about their children’s language, speech, and feeding development — especially when raising mono- and bilingual children.
One thing we loved from the handout we gathered together:
“Play is not separate from development — it is development.”
Through sensory play, music, movement, process art, and food play, children naturally build:
• early communication
• social connection
• confidence expressing themselves
• comfort with new foods
• language through real-life experiences
We also loved this reminder:
There is no need to “choose one language.” Your home language is part of your child’s development. 🤍
Most importantly, the conversations felt safe, supportive, non-diagnosing, and completely judgment-free — the very best kind of support. Thank you, Yuri!
