Yoga is so much more than the "Asanas," or "Postures" as we call them in English, and at Peaceful Mindful Yoga School we help our students in embracing the journey of deepening their practices and enriching their lives.

If you've thought about deepening your practice, the first step is to develop consistency! Here are some tips to create a regular Yoga practice:

-Set a schedule: Commit to a regular practice schedule, whether it's daily, 3-4 times a week, or whatever works for you. Treat it like any other important appointment!

-Find a quiet and dedicated space: Create a peaceful and distraction-free space for your practice, free from clutter and interruptions.

-Start small and build gradually: Begin with short practices (20-30 minutes) and gradually increase duration and intensity as you become more comfortable.

-Listen to your body: Honor your physical limitations and take rest when needed. Modify or avoid poses that cause discomfort or pain.

Attention leads to awareness, and awareness leads to balance 🙏

Students in our Yoga Philosophy Course this week have begun the deep dive in to the beautiful and sacred text of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. In this text we explore the ancient Vedic Wisdom pertaining to "Yoga," but not just in the physcial aspect with which we are most familiar in the west.

Dr. Nisar Shaikh is guiding us through a deeper understanding of what this "Union" in Yoga really means, and how we can apply the philosophy in all the avenues of our lives to reach more balance and fulfillment.

Our first course this year has officially begun! This year we are excited to guide our students in understanding the ancient roots of the Science and practice of Yoga, and continuing that journey through our 200RYT course which will begin at the end of our 25 Hour Yoga Philosophy course!
