💡 Over 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's today – a number that is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050.

Beyond just memory loss, Alzheimer’s also affects how people think, plan, and connect with their loved ones. Early warning signs, including subtle changes in problem-solving, language difficulties, or mood swings, may go unnoticed.

Having a conversation with your doctor about potential changes is an important step towards understanding how to navigate life with Alzheimer’s and the resources that are available.

We were excited to have Kelly Rhoads-Poston, Senior Business Development Liaison and member of the Salvation Army Solano County Board, as well as Christine Searight, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, attend the Kroc Center Suisun City 16th annual holiday fundraising celebration.

This meaningful event, complete with a lively homemade cake auction, raises critical funds that support the Salvation Army’s programs across Solano County, including essential Social Services and the community programs at the Suisun Kroc Center.

We are grateful for partners like the Salvation Army who work tirelessly to uplift families and strengthen our community, especially during the holiday season. 🎄💙

NorthBay Health President and CEO, Mark Behl, joined healthcare leaders Alicia Hardy, CEO of CommuniCare+OLE Napa, Jennifer Yasumoto, Director of Health and Human Services Agency of Napa County, California - Government, Darryl B. Curry, Senior VP and Area Manager at Kaiser Permanente and Dr. Amy Herold, MD, MBA, FACOG, who shared her insights via video, for a powerful discussion at the Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Latino Leaders Round Table Lunch.

Across Solano, Yolo, and Napa counties, many of the families we serve identify as Latino, and we see firsthand how language, trust, and access can make all the difference in a person’s care experience. That’s why NorthBay continues to invest in partnerships that help ensure care is easy to understand and easy to access.

The conversation highlighted a clear message: when policy shifts at the state or federal level, these changes have a real impact on community health programs and the people who depend on them. By working together, we can strengthen equity and ensure support is not temporary; it’s built into the way care is delivered.

RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) is one of the most common causes of hospitalization for babies in the U.S., and it usually peaks between December and January.

Babies are most at risk during their first 6 months of life, but there are two ways to help protect them:
🤱 Maternal RSV vaccine – given during pregnancy
👶 Infant RSV antibody – given directly to your baby after birth

If you’re expecting or have a newborn, now’s a great time to talk to your primary care doctor or pediatrician about what’s best for your family! http://bit.ly/45V44dj

It’s Nurse Practitioners Week, and today we’re proud to highlight Alonya Elgrably, who has been part of NorthBay Health for over 18 years! 💙

During her time here, she has helped build and expand advanced practice nursing across our system — pioneering key NP roles in Trauma, Neurosurgery, and Critical Care, and leading APP teams in our ICUs, Neurology, Cardiology, Surgery, and the NICU.

NPs play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and providing seamless, compassionate care for our highest-acuity patients. Their expertise helps ensure our community receives safe, timely, and consistent care every day.

Thank you, Alonya, for your leadership, dedication, and incredible impact on NorthBay Health!

Women’s HOPE at NorthBay Health is a philanthropic group of community members dedicated to improving access to world-class healthcare right here at home!

We’re still inspired by our October 29 event showcasing our Labor & Delivery and NICU teams. Dr. Brian Montenegro and Dr. Tiffany Lewis presented on NorthBay Health’s impact on local mothers and babies as Solano County’s only Level III NICU.

Stay tuned, as we have more to share at our upcoming Grant Presentation, where we’ll unveil innovative projects selected to receive funding to enhance care in our community.

On Veterans Day, we proudly recognize the veterans who are part of our hospitals, clinics, care centers, and the community – including our Head of Otolaryngology, Dr. Christian Pingree, and Interim Director of Perioperative Services, Sam Shahin.

In this video, two of our veteran colleagues reflect on their experiences serving our country and continuing their mission of care here at NorthBay Health.

Happy National Radiologic Technology Week! 💙

This week, we celebrated the incredible professionals who bring skill, care, and compassion to every patient experience—our Radiologic Technologists. Whether it’s capturing X-rays, CTs, or MRIs, they help providers diagnose and treat with precision, often behind the scenes but always at the heart of care.

We also showed extra love to our Outpatient Imaging team at SDI with treats and tokens of appreciation! From our schedulers and front desk staff to our talented techs, each of you plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care.

Thank you for keeping our NorthBay Health community strong!

We had an incredible evening at the CASA of Solano County’s Masquerade Ball! 🎇🪄 NorthBay Health was proud to sponsor this special event and support CASA’s mission to advocate for the youth in our community.

Our COO and CNO, Heather Resseger, shared powerful insights about what it means to stand beside CASA - a cause that’s close to our hearts. At NorthBay Health, we’re honored to share CASA’s belief that caring for our community begins when people feel safe, seen, and supported.

What a day to celebrate the return of the salmon! 🐟

Main Street in Winters came alive with live music, science, local vendors, and plenty of community spirit for the annual Winters Salmon Festival.

NorthBay Health was proud to sponsor this incredible event and join in the fun! Families stopped by to meet Dr. Michael Tang, primary care physician and proud Winters resident. His warm welcome and community connection reminded us of what makes local care so special. Our doctors aren’t just providers, they’re neighbors and an active part of the community.

Attendees also learned about our new Urgent Care clinic and enjoyed getting creative at our pumpkin decorating station, which was a huge hit with both kids and adults! 🎃

Thank you to everyone who made this celebration so special. We’re honored to be part of a community that values nature, connection, and care.
