My Story
I have practiced yoga for over a decade yet my absolute commitment began following a personal tragedy in 2012. It was then that I experienced the truly transformational and healing powers of a regular yoga practice.
It is my intention to share the heart opening, self-empowering and life changing effects that yoga can bring.
My playful teaching style is calm, encouraging and compassionate. Whether you are joining as a beginner or as an experienced yogi, my classes and/or personal instruction focus on integrating the importance of the breath (pranayama) and proper alignment of poses (asanas). You can expect my instruction to include a balanced energy flow and to be uniquely created based on the objectives of the yoga practitioner(s) I am guiding.
I am a Yoga Alliance 200 hour certified yoga instructor and graduate of Lotus Gardens Yoga School in Sherman, CT. My intensive teacher training covered comparative yoga styles including; Alignment, Ashtanga, Gentle, Hatha, Hot, Kundalini, Restorative, Vinyasa and Yin. Yoga Therapy was also included with special concerns such as grief, pre-natal, back & neck problems, arthritis, menopause, seniors, anxiety, depression and more.
In addition, I am a Reiki Master and Teacher, I have certification in esoteric energy healing, a strong meditation practice and attend additional trainings frequently that complement my instruction.
