What if starting over isn’t a motivation issue? 🤔

You’ve done the plans.
The programs.
The rules.
The resets.

You’ve tried to be disciplined.
Tried to “lock in.”
Tried to "do it right this time."

No slip-ups.
No shortcuts.
No messing this up.

And yet… here you are again.
Another January.
Another restart.
Another quiet promise to yourself.

What if that doesn’t mean you don’t want it bad enough?

What if it doesn’t mean you lack discipline?
(even though you keep telling yourself that’s the problem)

What if the issue isn’t effort at all…
but the fact that every approach you’ve tried only worked on paper—not in your real life?

The responsibilities.
The stress.
The busy seasons.
The version of you who can’t live on restriction forever.

We’re not gonna unpack this just yet.
But if this question feels validating, pay attention.

Because when you stop blaming motivation, something else finally comes into focus:
👉🏾 a path that actually helps you lose weight and keep it off
without extremes, rules, or starting over every new year.

We’ll dig a little deeper in the next post. Save this one for now and come back tomorrow so you don’t miss it.

If you’re scrolling and thinking, “Why am I already tired…?” 😮‍💨

Not because you're doing January wrong,
but because December asked a lot of you.

The travel.
The planning.
Hosting the gatherings.
Kids home all day on winter break.
Still clocking in at work like the rest of your life wasn’t moving at lightspeed.

If that’s YOU, keep reading…

We both know that white-knuckling your way through another plan has never been the thing that helped you keep the weight off.

You don’t need more rules.
You don’t need to try harder.
And you definitely don’t need to earn the right to take care of yourself.

What you actually need is permission to put yourself back on the list.
Without guilt.
Without waiting for life to slow down.
Without turning it into another big restart… again.

That’s exactly why I created the You First Guide —
to help you see where you’ve been disappearing
and gently bring yourself back into the picture
in a way that actually fits your life.

💜 If this feels like the conversation you’ve been needing, comment YOU FIRST and I’ll send it your way.

I used to think I had a discipline problem.
But it turns out... I actually had a perfectionism problem.

I believed that if I wasn't doing EVERYTHING perfectly, it didn't count.

That mindset had me quitting on myself over and over.

Here's what I can tell you...
You're NOT the problem.
It’s the toxic “all-or-nothing” thinking you developed from past plans that expected you to overhaul your entire life in a week.

You're NOT undisciplined.
You just need to learn how to be more flexible and give yourself grace.

November ➡️ January

Let’s talk about it… 👇🏾

First, I didn’t lose weight.
I actually gained 3 lbs. (Body recomposition is funny like that.)

I didn’t eat perfectly either.
Two week-long vacations. Holiday food. Zero guilt. 😋

And no... I didn’t follow the workout schedule exactly.
I didn’t exercise at all while I was traveling.

But here’s what made the difference:
I didn’t quit on myself.

I made myself a priority. 💜
I kept my promise to me by showing up when I was home... even on the days I didn’t feel like it.

No pressure.
No extremes.
No gym.

Just me, my messy living room, modified moves, and a mindset built for REAL life.

If this kind of progress feels more aligned than all-or-nothing…
you’re in the right place.

THIS is what sustainable looks like!

01/03/2026

There was a time when I thought failing to lose weight meant I was a failure.

Because on paper, I was doing everything “right.”
The plan worked.
The scale moved.
Until life started life-ing… and the whole thing collapsed.

Here's what I didn’t understand back then:

➡️ If a plan only works when your life is calm, it’s not a solution. It’s a setup.

Most women aren’t inconsistent.
They’re overextended.
They’re carrying careers, families, responsibilities, and expectations...
…while also trying to shrink their bodies with systems that demand perfection.

Sustainable weight loss didn’t happen for me when I tried harder.
It happened when I chose an approach that could support me on hard days... not punish me for them.

When your strategy honors your real life, consistency stops feeling forced…
and progress finally sticks.

💜 If this resonates, comment “YOU FIRST” and grab the You First Guide — a gentle, practical starting point for losing weight without restriction, extremes, or starting over again.

If January feels heavier than you expected… it’s not random.

It’s the weight of everything you told yourself you’d “deal with later.”
Not out of laziness.
Out of survival.

This post isn’t here to push you.
It’s here to help you see what’s been happening… gently.

Because patterns don’t break with pressure.
They break with awareness. ✨

💭 If this hit, pause for a second and ask yourself:
What did you tell yourself you’d “deal with later” that followed you into January?

Feel free to share your answer in the comments. There’s no judgment here.

Happy New Year, y'all!! 🎉🎉

As I step into this new year, I’m feeling deeply grateful... for every woman who’s trusted me, learned with me, or simply chosen to walk alongside this space.

Whether you’ve:
💜 Worked with me
💜 Booked a session
💜 Downloaded a resource
💜 Joined my email list
💜 or just quietly followed along

…THANK YOU! Truly.

As we head into this next chapter, my prayer for you isn’t more hustle, more rules, or more extremes.

It’s:
✨ More clarity
✨ More peace
✨ More trust in yourself
✨ And a gentler, more sustainable way of caring for your body

Because lasting change doesn’t come from punishment. It comes from alignment.

Here’s to a year of showing up with grace, choosing progress over perfection, and finally doing this in a way that feels like YOU.

Cheers to 2026! 🥂
We’re doing things differently this time. 🫶🏾

Merry Christmas, sis. 🎄💜

Whether today feels loud and joyful, quiet and tender, or somewhere in between…

I hope you’re able to pause—just for a moment—and feel surrounded by love.

This season has a way of reminding us how much we’ve been carrying.
How often we’ve pushed through.
How rarely we’ve slowed down long enough to check in with ourselves.

As this year comes to a close, my wish for you is simple:
✨ Grace where you’ve been hard on yourself
✨ Rest where you’ve been carrying more than you let on
✨ Peace that doesn’t depend on everything being perfect

Thank you for being here.
For following along.
For trusting me with pieces of your journey.
It truly means more than I can put into words. 🫶🏾

I’ll be spending some time resting and reflecting, and I’m so grateful for what’s ahead... for all of us.

💬 What’s one word you want to carry with you into the rest of the year?

Here's an example of a quick and simple Clean-ish breakfast for sustainable weight loss 👇🏾

🥚 Egg bites w/ peppers & bacon
🍠 Sweet potato hash browns

As a busy wife, mother, and business owner, cooking from scratch everyday simply isn't an option.

But spending $10+ everyday to get crappy food from a drive-thru isn't on my list of things-to-do either.

It took me 30 minutes to make 12 egg bites. Now all I have to do is reheat and eat to have breakfast for the next few days.

The sweet potato hash browns are by Strong Roots and can be found at Whole Foods or Walmart in the freezer section. Just throw them in the air fryer for 20 minutes and you're good to go!

Not only is this meal quick and easy, but it'll also help you reach and maintain your weight loss goals while saving some coins!

Like this post if you found it helpful and share it with someone else who needs practical healthy meal ideas.
