Lost and Found Pets of Fairview, TN

Lost and Found Pets of Fairview, TN This page is for Lost and Found Pets of Fairview, TN (and neighboring areas). Have you lost or found a pet in the Fairview, TN (or neighboring) area(s)? TN.

This page was created to be a central location to quickly help reunite missing pets and their families in the Fairview, TN area. How do you post about a lost/found animal? Include a brief description, location (neighborhood/cross streets only) and the date the animal was lost/found. Please include a photo of the animal. Post directly to the page, keep in mind Facebook has a delay so you will not always see your post right away. If you have a found animal please keep some pertinent details about the animal out of the picture and private. LEGAL PROOF of OWNERSHIP is required (and VITAL) from anyone claiming an animal. This insures that the pet is reunited with it's rightful owner(s). BE SURE that WCAC is CONTACTED and FOLLOW their MANDATORY instructions. Please follow up on your posts so that we will know to remove the posting when a pet has been reunited. This way we can keep the wall cleared for pets that still need to find their way back home. What do you do when you find/lose a pet?

1. Contact Williamson County Animal Control: 615-790-5590 ASAP. There are also links included in the Note Section of this page for their lost/found stray report forms that you can fill out online (and you can do it after hours if needed).

***NOTIFICATION TO WILLIAMSON COUNTY ANIMAL CENTER (or the animal control facility in the county found) is REQUIRED BY LAW in the great State of TN. ***

Animals are considered personal property in TN and WCAC is the LEGAL AUTHORITY in Williamson Co. It is ILLEGAL to keep, rehome, give away or sell ANY FOUND ANIMAL. Animal Control MUST be NOTIFIED and their instructions FOLLOWED. We also recommend notification to Animal Control and Humane Association facilities in ALL surrounding area counties. Animals can/do travel long distances in a short time and/or they can easily be displaced out of the area by human intervention.

2. Make a post here!

3. Contact local vets offices as soon as possible. Fairview Animal Clinic: 615-799-2118
White Oak Animal Clinic: 615-799-7981

4. If FOUND: Have the animal checked at both vets office for a microchip. One or the other may recognize the animal. If LOST: Be sure to notify the microchip company ASAP that the animal is lost so they can flag your account. Be sure to make sure your contact info is correct/up to date.

5 Make easy to read SIGNS and post in easy to read locations (like 4-way stops)! Not everyone has internet access or is on social media. This is a vital step that cannot be stressed enough. SIGNS get SIGHTINGS! Be sure to check with the local Codes Dept. to make sure your signs are in compliance with local requirements prior to placement.

7. Create a lost/found animal flyer at HelpingLostPets.com and/or Lostmydoggie.com. These are great for direct distribution but are NOT effective tools for the side of the road.

6. Tell everyone you see that walks (with or without an animal) in your subdivision. Also, tell your postal carrier, ups/fed ex carrier, the more people you have looking, the better! Hand out those flyers!!

7. SHARE this page/posts with others. The more people we can get involved on this page, to make it a central location for our lost/found animals, the sooner we can reunite them with their families. Also, please remember that it will take a finder and an owner time to implement these tips Please give them time find each other! As always, if you need any additional help, please contact us! We are here to help in any way we can. And last, a big THANK YOU to our local rescuers and page followers/participants. The View is chock full of animal lovers. Thank you all for your big hearts and open homes and for making our part of the world a better place! Disclaimer: This page is not affiliated with any animal control/humane association facility. At just 1 year old, Loki is still letting us uncover all the layers of his personality—but here’s what we already know: he’s housetrained, gets along well with other dogs, and is a major fan of the dog park. Mention “walk” or even think too loudly about going outside, and he’ll be stationed by the door before you can find your shoes.

Loki has made it clear that his ideal home is more “peaceful retreat” than “chaotic reality show.” He’d thrive in a calmer household with older kids or adults who understand and respect his space.

If your idea of a perfect summer includes mindful walks, dog park dates, and a loyal companion for your daily decompression routine, Loki may be your guy.

Come meet Loki Monday at Williamson County Animal Center and see if your new best friend is waiting by the door for you. We'll be open from 10am-6pm.

Big news for our Williamson County farmers and livestock owners.

Your livestock guardian dog works hard protecting your animals. Now we’re here to help protect them, too.
Williamson County Animal Center is proud to launch our FREE Livestock Guardian Dog Microchipping Program for working LGDs living in Williamson County. Our Animal Control team will travel directly to your farm or property and microchip your dog on-site—at no cost.
A microchip provides permanent identification and greatly increases the chances your dog can be quickly identified and safely returned if they ever become lost or separated from the livestock they protect.
This program is available specifically for dogs actively working as livestock guardians.
Apply on our website: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/WCAC/143781-lgd-microchip

Daisy Lee - 3 Years Old - Spayed Female

This beautiful young doodle is around 3 years old and is as smart as she is affectionate. She forms a deep bond with her person and is happiest when she can be right by your side, sharing in everyday life as your loyal companion.

With her playful poodle energy, she would thrive in a home with a physically fenced yard where she can safely run, explore, and burn off energy. She is still working on house manners and potty training, so she needs an adopter who understands dog behavior and is committed to patience, structure, and consistency.

She loves people deeply, but she is good around other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home. She will do best in a calm environment where she can have her person all to herself and feel secure.

She also has a chicken allergy, so a chicken-free diet will be important to keep her healthy and feeling her best. Full of personality and devotion, she is ready to become someone’s one-and-only best friend.

Highlights:

Affectionate, intelligent, and very people-oriented
Loves being close to her person and thrives on companionship

Must be the only dog in the home
Requires a chicken-free diet due to allergy

Meet Denim: 3 months old, 31 pounds… and already shopping in the “future gentle giant” section.

What kind of dog is he? Your guess is as good as ours. We’re thinking maybe a mix between a Clydesdale and a terrier… with just a dash of “oops, he’s going to be HUGE.” What do you think?

This big-hearted boy is as friendly as they come and ready to grow up with a family who understands that “puppy phase” + “extra large edition” = commitment. Think training, patience, financial commitment for meals, consistency… and maybe upgrading your lap expectations.

The good news? Denim is already off to a great start. His potty training is going well, and he’s eager to learn and please. With the right guidance, he’s going to be one incredible companion.

Denim is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and ready to start his next chapter.

If you’re ready to go big (like… really big), come meet him.

Williamson County Animal Center is open Tuesday–Friday from 10am–6pm and Saturday from 11am–3pm.
