Lost and Found Pets of Fairview, TN

Lost and Found Pets of Fairview, TN This page is for Lost and Found Pets of Fairview, TN (and neighboring areas). Have you lost or found a pet in the Fairview, TN (or neighboring) area(s)? TN.

This page was created to be a central location to quickly help reunite missing pets and their families in the Fairview, TN area. How do you post about a lost/found animal? Include a brief description, location (neighborhood/cross streets only) and the date the animal was lost/found. Please include a photo of the animal. Post directly to the page, keep in mind Facebook has a delay so you will not always see your post right away. If you have a found animal please keep some pertinent details about the animal out of the picture and private. LEGAL PROOF of OWNERSHIP is required (and VITAL) from anyone claiming an animal. This insures that the pet is reunited with it's rightful owner(s). BE SURE that WCAC is CONTACTED and FOLLOW their MANDATORY instructions. Please follow up on your posts so that we will know to remove the posting when a pet has been reunited. This way we can keep the wall cleared for pets that still need to find their way back home. What do you do when you find/lose a pet?

1. Contact Williamson County Animal Control: 615-790-5590 ASAP. There are also links included in the Note Section of this page for their lost/found stray report forms that you can fill out online (and you can do it after hours if needed).

***NOTIFICATION TO WILLIAMSON COUNTY ANIMAL CENTER (or the animal control facility in the county found) is REQUIRED BY LAW in the great State of TN. ***

Animals are considered personal property in TN and WCAC is the LEGAL AUTHORITY in Williamson Co. It is ILLEGAL to keep, rehome, give away or sell ANY FOUND ANIMAL. Animal Control MUST be NOTIFIED and their instructions FOLLOWED. We also recommend notification to Animal Control and Humane Association facilities in ALL surrounding area counties. Animals can/do travel long distances in a short time and/or they can easily be displaced out of the area by human intervention.

2. Make a post here!

3. Contact local vets offices as soon as possible. Fairview Animal Clinic: 615-799-2118
White Oak Animal Clinic: 615-799-7981

4. If FOUND: Have the animal checked at both vets office for a microchip. One or the other may recognize the animal. If LOST: Be sure to notify the microchip company ASAP that the animal is lost so they can flag your account. Be sure to make sure your contact info is correct/up to date.

5 Make easy to read SIGNS and post in easy to read locations (like 4-way stops)! Not everyone has internet access or is on social media. This is a vital step that cannot be stressed enough. SIGNS get SIGHTINGS! Be sure to check with the local Codes Dept. to make sure your signs are in compliance with local requirements prior to placement.

7. Create a lost/found animal flyer at HelpingLostPets.com and/or Lostmydoggie.com. These are great for direct distribution but are NOT effective tools for the side of the road.

6. Tell everyone you see that walks (with or without an animal) in your subdivision. Also, tell your postal carrier, ups/fed ex carrier, the more people you have looking, the better! Hand out those flyers!!

7. SHARE this page/posts with others. The more people we can get involved on this page, to make it a central location for our lost/found animals, the sooner we can reunite them with their families. Also, please remember that it will take a finder and an owner time to implement these tips Please give them time find each other! As always, if you need any additional help, please contact us! We are here to help in any way we can. And last, a big THANK YOU to our local rescuers and page followers/participants. The View is chock full of animal lovers. Thank you all for your big hearts and open homes and for making our part of the world a better place! Disclaimer: This page is not affiliated with any animal control/humane association facility. This cat has been showing up in the garage of someone’s house on Walker Rd in Fairview. It’s been spotted on camera so the pic is through their camera and it’s kinda dark. Does anyone know who this cat belongs too?

Layla is a beautiful Great Pyrenees with a calm, watchful presence and a heart that’s still learning who to trust. Weighing 69 pounds and estimated to be around 4 years old, she was originally found exploring near I-840—very on-brand for a breed known for roaming and patrolling their territory.

Like many Great Pyrenees, Layla is independent and thoughtful. When she decides she’s done walking, she’ll politely (and firmly) put on the brakes. She isn’t a big fan of other dogs and would likely do best as the only canine in the home. With people, she’s friendly but can be a little nervous at first and appreciates a patient approach while she gets comfortable.

True to her breed, Layla will thrive with space and purpose. Great Pyrenees are known for being loyal, intelligent, protective, and independent thinkers who were bred to guard livestock and property. They do best when they have a “job,” whether that’s watching over a large backyard, patrolling a fenced property, or living on a farm where they can put their instincts to good use. A home with plenty of room to roam (securely) is a must.

Layla recently received a spa day and earned a respectable B+ from our animal care technician during her bath—proof that she tries her best, even if grooming isn’t her favorite activity.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to find a home that understands and appreciates the unique nature of the Great Pyrenees breed. If you’re looking for a loyal guardian with a gentle soul and have the space and lifestyle to match, Layla may be your perfect fit.

This pup was found near the 7100 block of Bahne Road in Fairview after making a very serious life decision: he heard a rumor about a cookout down the road and felt it was his civic duty to investigate. Unfortunately, the grill was imaginary and he forgot to bring an ID tag or a microchip, so he couldn’t tell us where he lives.
If you recognize this food-motivated explorer, please call to reclaim him after 10am Tuesday at (615) 790-5590 x3400.

This boxer mix was found near the 7800 block of Pinewood Road in Fairview after apparently deciding that Tuesday was the perfect day to quit his routine and start a new chapter. While the rest of us were just trying to survive the week, he chose adventure.
He’s friendly, bouncy, and giving strong “I thought today was my day off” energy. If this looks like your dog who left the house for a normal Tuesday and never came back, he is safe and waiting for you.
If this four-legged midweek escape artist belongs to you, please call 615-790-5590 ext. 3400 so we can get him back to his regularly scheduled programming.

Sadie is a gentle, affectionate love bug who just needs a patient, understanding home to help her continue building confidence and trust. Once she feels safe, she forms a deep bond and quickly becomes your little Velcro dog, happiest when she’s close to her person.

She does well with other dogs but appreciates a slow, thoughtful introduction and a little time to warm up. Sadie appears to be house-trained, with only one accident her first night in her foster home. She enjoys toys and treats, which have been wonderful tools for earning her trust and helping her blossom.

Sadie is not a dog who can be left loose when home alone right now. She experiences anxiety when her people leave, so she must be crated when unsupervised—this helps keep both Sadie and the home safe. With time, stability, and reassurance, her confidence will continue to grow.

She is incredibly sweet and loving but can be startled by sudden movements or loud voices and will retreat when she feels overwhelmed. Based on her behavior, we believe Sadie may have experienced past abuse, possibly from a man, as she takes longer to warm up to men and can become uneasy if voices are raised. That said, with patience, she does learn to trust and enjoy affection.

Sadie does well around children and is comfortable with visitors in the home. More than anything, she is simply longing for a calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and cherished.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a soft heart and are willing to give her the time and love she deserves, Sadie will reward you with endless affection.

Please note that at this time we are still looking to locate his original owners, and are not currently accepting adoption inquiries.

Do you know this cutie patootie?

He was found roaming Little Barton’s Creek in Dickson and was accepted into our care by Animal Control. He had no collar or microchip.

If he’s yours, please contact us at 615-446-7387 or message our page. Proof of ownership is required to claim, and he must be current on rabies vaccination prior to release.

He has a 3 day stray hold, ending at 5pm 1/11/26, after which we will begin intake process.

This young Standard Poodle is about 3 years old, and she’s smart, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her person. She needs a home with a physically fenced yard where she can feel safe, explore, and burn off that classic poodle energy.

She’s still working on house manners and potty training, so she’ll need an owner who understands dog behavior and leads with patience, consistency, and clear communication. She also needs to be the only dog in her home — not because she doesn’t like other dogs, but because she truly thrives in a calm, predictable environment without competition for food, toys, or attention. Without those shared resources, she relaxes, bonds deeper, and shows her best self. She is allergic to chicken, so a mindful diet will be important to keep her feeling her best.

She’s eager to connect, quick to learn, and full of personality. With the right owner beside her, she’s going to make an incredible companion.

If you’re ready for a loyal poodle who wants to share your world, she’s ready to meet you.
