The caring and professional staff of Road to Recovery Physical and Occupational Therapy seeks to provide the highest quality care to patients through diversity, continuing education, cutting edge programs and explorative fitness based rehab. The idea for Road to Recovery PT was born out of frustration as Dr. Mark Vaysman, DPT worked at various outpatient clinics as well as acute and subacute departments of a major rehab hospital. Facility after facility, Mark encountered administrators placing profits before outcomes, quantity before quality, and turning therapy departments into factories. Dr. Vaysman wanted to practice therapy the old fashioned way, the way his father, a seasoned physical therapist with over 40 years of experience, used to practice; the way therapists used to practice before they started giving up their profession to massage therapists and athletic trainers. Mark wanted to combine his knowledge of anatomy and human movement, his advanced manual skills and exercise prescription expertise with modern advances in pain relieving technology and exercise equipment to create a system of therapeutic intervention where results and outcomes take precedence over financial gains.
